I normally use Waxpol for this purpose ( after washing and drying) . Would it be allright to use waxpol ? Waxpol is actually used in polishing vinyl surfaces. Many people reckon(friends who've used waxpol on their pulsars, mechanics from the ASC etc) that it wont harm the paint. But i'd like to be sure before i use it again. Would it be allright if i use waxpol? How often should i wash my bike? Usually once in a month i give it a scrub.
I recommend Motomax from pidlite. I am using this from past 2+ years and my bike still looks like a brand new one

shell helix hx3 20w50 API sj:
I recently filled shell helix 20w50 hx3 in my pulsar 180 ug4. The oil grade seems to be right-20w50, API sj. But I recently read that shell helix is for cars and for bikes, its shell advance. This alarmed me. Since ive used this oil, will it harm the engine? So far ive experienced a smoother oil compared to the previous one. What should i do now? Continue riding or drain the oil and use a different one? The oil came in a 1ltr container.

There is a lot of debate on using car specific engine oils on motorcycles with wet clutches.. but my advice would be for you to change the oil asap to any of the motorcycle specific oils from shell, motul, castrol etc.. and stick to the recommended grade which is 20w50 for the P180
With the car specific which you are using now, you may experience clutch slip (symptom: the engine revs rise but don't translate to much gain in speed)
