At the moment I would suggest

    1. to source a used swing arm from your local junk yard. Having spent so much for tyres and spending few more hundreds at a junk yard sounds fair to me.
    2. Maybe, just maybe, you could add another spacer of about half an inch or so to the right end of the axle and try it out. It might work! Suggest this idea to your mechanic and find out his opinion too.
+1. Rather than fouling the stock linkage rod, the portion most probably in contact with the tire, I suggest you check:

    1. The wheel alignment from both ends.
    2. Using washers/spacers to possibly widen the area.
    3. If nothing work, ask your mech to source a used P180 swingarm from the junkyard.

dint went through the complete thread, just read your query, not the solutions provided by fellow bikers.
the solution is very simple, take out the rod, slightly bend it at the point where its touching the tyre and refilt it, if its again touching, add 2 3 washers between rod and drum plate.
i also had faced same issue while using 120/80 18 tyre at rear of my HH Hunk.
    have a safe ride.
    cheers...!
