• Pulsar 150 Neon pulling to right.

My Pulsar 150 Neon ABS, 2801 kms, no falls and mechanically sound, is pulling towards right when leaving the handlebar.

This is causing pain in my left palm and not enjoy riding the bike. Service centers (Kirti Nagar and Rithala Delhi) sway me off saying theres no problem in the bike. Front end opened by them, forks, cone set, is in spec. Been at it since March and I'm really frustrated now.

After several visits to Rithala svc, they finally connected me to the Regional Manager and I explained to him the problem. Went to Kirti Nagar svc today and they changed the Lower T first before checking anything else. I tested still the issue was there. The bike went to the RM and he also claimed issue is there.

Then they worked on my speculation that the Hose from master cylinder to the ABS pump might be flexing on the stem/neck causing the handle to push one side and resulting in pulling, they tied it to the ignition mount still the issue is there. Now RM claims issue is not there but still its pulling hard towards right.

I am going to get the hose swapped to see whether any difference is there but till the hose comes from Pune, I have to do some brainstorming of my own. The RM was very helpful.

What do you guys suggest?

Thanks in advance. lockhrt999 Here you go sir.

Re: Pulsar 150 Neon pulling to right.

i bought my r15 v3 on 28th July 2020. On the very first day i found the same issue only that its pulling towards left. I went to the service center in rithala. First they simply said why would you take your arms off the handlebar at speeds above 60. And said its not an issue and this cannot be rectified without even riding the bike. However when there "Testing Guy" rode it he agreed to the issue then their mechanic rode it and agreed but said its very minor and u should ignore it rather than getting the front end opened up of 1 day old motorcycle. They then said if you want we will open it up and i know they said it in a way so i say no to it myself, which i did coz i simply dont trust those nutheads. Im gonna ride the bike for a while and see if the issue prevails im gonna get it checked with some reputed garage.

Sorry for a month late reply, I got notification in email only today.
I didn't get the hose replaced as lockhrt suggested that I just get the rear wheel aligned. Got the rear wheel aligned and along with the tie they had made on the hose to ABS pump made the issue quite less pronounce. Its still there but better than before. I told them still needs more correction but they said 19/20 ka chalta hai sir. I closed the complaint as I was done with them then. I removed the tie they made to hose as the sleeve on the hose was coming out and I didn't want premature damage to the hose, the issue became more pronounce!

Now I have got the wheels and tires balanced from Jhandewalan SVC, they have the machine to do that, took Rs.354 for the job, still bike pulls. I told them also about it but then the service advisor rode the bike with me as the pillion and the bike was wonderfully stable. Guess having a pillion makes the bike go straight thats why these guys don't admit at first that any such issue is even there. Something's up with the suspension. Setting is same both sides I've checked, set at level 2.

I guess you should show this to Delhi Scooters svc, Rajouri Garden. Those guys service R3 also and are experienced. If your branch is not same (Delhi Scooters) you can request them to check for problem as you're not asking for service. Anyway I'm never going to recommend Bajaj to anyone ever again. If your bike doesn't develop issue you will be happy, but god forbid you get any issue, these guys will make a joke out of you. And everytime I told the Regional Manager about something wrong he just has one excuse, "Miscommunication".
How's your r15 doing? How's the refinement and if you have done your first service, whats your opinion on Yamalube that they pour in?
Regards

Re: Pulsar 150 Neon pulling to right.

i feel every word you say because i sold my 6.5 years old Pulsar 180. It served me well but you know how indian manufactured bikes are. I had to be with some or the other mechanjc for some or the other issure. Bajaj never rectified any of my problems so after 2 years of warranty i simply got it repaired for anythin from my local mechanic and i used motul 5100 always so never really had an egine issue infact i replaced the piston a 1-2 months before i sold it coz i dint want the new owner to feel cheated and the bike ran wonderful. For yamaha i'd say the quality is notches above. Yamalube does pretty well considering its price and if you'r not riding too aggressive u cn go for it. Otherwise Motul 7100 is fantastic choice although my v3 has just done 400km in 10 days but i say this coz m riding my close friends V2 since ages.

My service is coming in a couple of months and will have to go through an oil change. Don't want to buy that crappy Bajaj 10000 oil for 410rs which doesn't even last 1000km. Confused between motul 3100 and 5100. 3100 responded very well on my old suzuki but kind of eager to get 5100. 7100 will just leak through headgasket and anyway isn't recommend before 6000km. Main thing is to convince the kirti nagar svc guy to pour my oil instead of theirs and keep my warranty also. Will get tappets and timing chain adjusted too.
How's your run-in experience till now?

Just take your 5100 along and ask them to pour it . They do it easily not a big deal.
