  • RXK cylinder head & crankshaft

    Hi friends, I have a 4-speed '98 RXZ.

Now I'm planning to install a 5-speed gear box with the stock cylinder. I also have RXK cylinder head & crank shaft from Malaysia. What would be the performance difference between Indian 4TL & 4Y2 cylinder head?

But my mechanic says there would be piston noise if installed on Indian version. Please advise on the above and also mention the performance difference on installing 4Y2 RXK cylinder head and crank shaft.

    Pros & cons.

To take advantage of the RXK set up you would need the Piston, cylinder, cylinder head, clutch box/boss, crank shaft, crank, main bearings where the crank seats, carb and CDI of the RXK. if any of those are missing apart from placebo there will be hardly any difference.

My bike is running the Piston, Cylinder and carb of the RXK with the 5 speed gear box, with a supposed RXK head and apart from a slight increase of initial pickup there is not much of a difference, only that because of the large ports and richer mixture due to the carb there is less chance of the engine seizing up due to the increase of petrol/oil mix in the crank.
