Default Suggestion for KTM Duke 200 tyre replacement

    Hello,

I have a KTM Duke 200, stock tyres which came upto 20K kms...
Can anyone confirm if I can use a Front tyre Michelin Pilot Street and Rear MRF Revz C1.
NOTE: I have already installed Michelin Pilot Street front tyre today.. Yet to install the rear tyre. I am skeptical whether to mix two different manufacturers

There is no restriction on mixing different brands on a motorcycle. Just don't mix different riding patterns for example button tyres in front and street tyres in the rear!

Also keep it in mind to put the softer one (of the two tyres) in the front, the front tyre shouldn't be of a harder rubber compound than the rear. I can see that you have already installed Michelin pilot in the front, that's a fairly good choice. Now you can choose any decent tyre for the rear too, many duke 390 owners have got good experience with the MRF revz C1 150, you can buy those without worrying.

First of all any tyre you choose should have decent grip. Softer the tread compound better will be the grip. It should be replaced within five years of use even if there is no wear and tear. There is no worries if you go for MRF Revz C1 for your rear end but just don't mix street tyres and button tyres

Ideally, one should keep the same tyres front and back. But since you have already put up the front tyre, it would be recommended to use same series tyre at back. But, you can even use the MRF RevZ C1 as it is also for similar usage and has a soft compound too.

In short, both tyres should match in terms of tyre compound, application/tread etc.
