    Ok enough going on here.

First off, LA4440 does your id refer to the Linear Amplifier IC, which makes 6W x 2. If yes, try a LM3886.

    1. RDD CDI Cost = Rs. 2800 all inclusive shipped to wherever in India.
    2. It has warranty only on manufacturing defects, and I haven't seen one unit fail till date. If we find that it was a user fault that caused it to malfunction. No warranty.
    3. I do keep coming to pune every now and then, but I won't take responsibility for the install.
    4. Changing capacitor in a CDI, try opening a stock RX CDI. Its epoxied. Only changing capacitor will do zilch for you.

About a scam or anything happening by you paying me money, and me not sending the CDI, there are enough guys here itself who can vouch for legitimacy.

you actually knew that?? thats really impressive..yes its the same ic,used in a 100w stereo deck amplifier i assembled years years back..
    thanks for the alternative..

well i just joined rdd, searching for any other changes required to be made after the cdi instal.

well if your coming to pune, can it save me the shipping charges?

its epoxied! oops!! me aint touching that, cut my hand once trying to open an amplifer setup..

well do you know anant by any chance? own a thunderbird, modifies engines, into motocross and all..
he's in bangalore only..he's the one who actually suggests me the mods i need to get done.n i trust him blindly.

ya i do trust you,but somewhere i read on orkut people talking about getting conned.thats why i asked..its natural

    Here you go :

    1) Remove the left engine cover.
    2) Remove the magnet with a 19 inch ring spanner.
    3) After removing the magnet you will see a base plate.
    4) Remove the base plate using a star screwdriver.
    5) The mounts what you see on the baseplate is stock, take a vernier measure 4mm from the stock holes clockwise, and mark it with a marker.
    6) Drill holes now where you have marked.
    7) Fix it across now, by doing this you are now +4 advance than the stock timing.
    8) Don't over tighten the base plate, chances of cracking the plate are high.

Caution : Any body reading this please don't do this with a stock cdi chances of holeing your piston is high.

No please stay away K&N has an negative impluse which is not suited for 2 strokes, don't bang your head so much get a uni and be happy.

timing i will surely do that, lets see how it goes..btw how much accuracy is required?
will a small error cause drastic changes?

UNI filter, well whole night i was searching for one..some sites have them, but then they dont ship to india, some requirerd credit card and some the cost was well above $40 including shipping..i prefer paying through paypal, even tried ebay..

    what i am thinking,is take 2 rx100 stock filters,wrap them around a spring say 3" x 5" and attach it..

    will it work?

as far as the k&n wrap around is concerned,ya even i was thinking about that, basic aim of getting uni is to remove the back wave for my 2 stroke..

    contacted mr.chinoy..
neither uni nor cdi are in stcok!!

You ordered the UNI yourself, how nice? What model what size? Do you think it will fit on your carb? Where will you get jets to jet it?

Intriguing questions right?, Thats why RDD gives its own filter kits, which come with the correct filter and the right jets for the same.

    Enjoy jetting your bike.

P.S. I have broken my head for 1 week on psycho's bike to jet it. Its still not perfect.

Uni 2-Stage Angle POD with 2.75" id,6" length
dont exactly remembe the model no. some up6.fitting wont be a problem, ill manage.
rx jet costs 40 bucks.i already have 2 bored jets for it.will try to get the right ratio.
well if a pro like you took a week, ill prolly take a month

but the satisfaction of doin it myself will overcome the time delay in getting it right.

question: for 1800rs what all does the rdd filter kit inlcude? filter oil as well? and what size jets you provide if you could pls disclose? will help me in getting straight to the right size..

the kit has the right jet, right filter for the same, then why is it taking so much time for psycho's bike? WHEN WILL THE CDI BE AVAILABLE? I AM STILL WAITING..

Good question, go through the link which is provided in my signature.

My bike has these mods :

    1) Rz reed valves.
    2) Street porting.
    3) Rdd cdi digi 5.
    4) Uni pod filters.

I am running on +6/+7 advance timing on the bike, Was using a VM-26 till date bike was still runing lean with 240 main jets this is with the stock silencer not chamber, later we have upgraded to VM-28 and the bike's jetting is almost 95% complete now i clocked 100.97 (with stock siliencer) on the sigma where my weight being 90kgs and no weight reduction being done on the bike, we have to go little leaner now, i hope you are clear now ..
