    Default rx - 135 starting problem n parts

    hi friends ........ need ur help please for my rx -135 4s

    my bike does not start sometimes n if it does takes over 10 - 20 yes no exaggerating ....... even with a choke
    rarely sometimes it starts normally

    now somedays it was not starting at all
    so took it to a mech pulling it all the way ....... i tht of looking smart in front of him so told him to clean the spark plug n the carb
    he was smiling
    he first checked some things like whether petrol pipe is properly connected or not without switchin off the knob n hence some petrol lost
    n then to my utter suprise
    what he did was took a hollow plastic pipe ......... put it in a place in the carb.... i dont knw what tht place is ...... it was kinda open ,,,, n the pipe fit in it ......... n blew some air from his mouth for 1- 2 sec
    then in one kick the bike started
    i tht wtf ...... what did he do ..... i kept on asking him but he did not explain
    he said kabhi start nahi hoga toh aisa kar dena
    so guys could you please technically explain wtf did he do

    also i am looking for a new spark plug and a chain n chain sprocket and clutch plates.........
    heard there are fibre clutch plates which are very nice n long lasting
    please throw some light on it as well
    so what company should i go for
    i was thinking for plugs ....... NGK IRIDIUM.....

    also i was thinking of fitting a foam filter on my bike ... u can suggest ur choices also ........ but some people told me u have to change the jets once u fit the filter but the agony is i am complete noob is this matter ......... how to change the jets ........ and what should be the settings
    can i do this mod myself

    please help friends ......

    Where did you hear that !! from my thread, you only need these plates when you are putting out more power, your clutch tends to slip when you are at high speeds/rpm's, i am using stock clutch plates on my bike
    till date , stick to stock, the stock plates costs you 50rs per plate.

    Ngk iridium is needs spot on jetting little here and there your 600 rs plug goes down the drain, frankly speaking iridiums don't gel well with two strokes, stick to stock pug NGK BPR7HS, don't bang head too much.

    Uni filter from RD dreams, there is no displacement for it.

    Yes you have too, reason is you have match the air fuel ratio, if you don't do it direct seizure.

    I was the same as you one year back, i have learnt it a hard way, don't look back start of with a basic tool kit and keep a digicam ready, if you have any queries click pics and post them, we are here to help you out, the reason i ddn't replie to your pm is these gyan cannot be shared over pm's its something you have to learn your self, join rddreams and meet some mumbai members in one of the meets thats it you will be spoilt to te depth

    Yes you can do it,all you need is is a star screw driver and a 6/7 spanner for removing the main jet, if you have a fear that your are going to screw up buy doing it yourself i say that's the only way to learn, this is how i have learnt things.

    Don't use BPR7HS if BP7HS/BP8HS is the original recommendation!! Or at least check the difference made by using both.

    i have one query for u though
    do u support use of RDD CDI ?
    ther is a serious debate around that its useful or not........
    some say its a waste of money ..... some say it saves fuel , makes the eng rev , etc etc
    how come some notice the diff n some dont??
