I have added a endurance exhaust from the CBR 250r one make , a k&n air filter and a aracer RC mini 5 ecu, planned to upbore the bike but only when I make it and out n out track bike, otherwise bike is fine, runs smooth, I just follow a simple principle of changing oil every 3000-4500 Kms or soo depending on the oil .

Yes. No issues in summer, in winter you'll feel some sluggishness, but once heated it'll be fine.

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I saw a CBR 250r with small n compact exhaust in Harp_Chennai's instagram story. Upon asking, they told me it was Duke 250's exhaust.
Can we really install Duke 250 exhaust on cbr ?

With welding techniques, you can even fit Z800's exhaust on a CBR.

Well it seems CBR shouldn't be used with 20w50 oil. Had a good discussion on fb regarding 20w50 oil. Most of the guys suggesting 10w30 n 10w40 oil.
A guy's cbr got seized after the using 20w50 for 4000 kms.
I've same oil filled in my cbr few days ago n now I've to replace it with 10w40 oil.

Hi guys, so it’s been just 900 km with my preworshipped cbr and I’m quite happy with how the bike is performing.
I had two basic questions, I am required to go to hometown so cbr will not be running for a month or two, planning on disconnecting the positive terminal only and leave battery in bike (have done the earth wire mod and don’t want to loosen the negative terminal). I felt this should be adequate..if I’m wrong please tell me if I should do differently.

My bike has some rust formation inside the tank, discovered it only after I brought the bike 😩...the asc mech mentioned that cleaning the fuel filter should do...the svc executive recommended to change the tank itself ( under insurance) he mentioned that rust mixing with fuel can damage the engine head..I would be grateful if the gurus here could give some insights on what’s the best way forward.

The bike is quite old 2011 June...but run only 9k...

ps: am going through the thread page by page ...still some time to finish it...pls excuse if covered before. 🙂

    cheers

His bike wouldn't have seized coz of 20w50 grade but rather coz of the quality of oil he used and how long he dragged it with that oil without changing or topping up.
For CBR 250R though u can go for Motul 300V 15w50 for summers it works like a charm.

    Hello Geetesh!

Rust inside the tank is harmful any day! It keeps clogging the fuel filter, if the dirt gets past, it will harm the fuel pump. How bad is it? See if you can get the rust removal done. Auto painters they might be able to do it. There are two ways to it one is by using an acid and agitator and the other by electrolysis and rust proofing later.

Hi Sanjay, thanks for the inputs...will check the extent of rust and then take a call.
Btw is it possible to replace a rusted tank under insurance?
