I think the crank case one isn't something to worry about.. You should check the forks first

I ran into a bit of a problem with my bike today, during the home run from ISG2G. First the engine overheat light came on, then I pulled over and when I checked the radiator, I found the coolant sprayed all over the engine, and onto the inside of the fairings. It seems as if the coolant was leaking. When I rode for a few kms, the engine malfunction light turned on. I had to ride at slow speeds, even then engine was overheating abnormally. Ill be taking it to the ASC and top up the coolant, I'll also have to check the oil level I guess, though I replaced the oil just a week before.

Most probably the coolant hose clip has come lose. Hope you haven't ridden it too much after this was noted. Less coolant of course means overheating. Take her to svc ASAP

Buddy, I cant outrightly deny chances of the test ride bike being harsh but the R15 is one of the smoothest revving engines on Indian roads! It literally begs to be revved hard and does that swiftly. Do not worry on this front - in fact this one of R15's USPs.

Adding to what @TeeJayy said, you could have test rode a 3 year old R15, which is quite different to a new one, with the 2014 one getting the O2 sensor too. There should be a reason why the R15 sells 3000 units per month compared to very poor sales of its nearest competitor. Try out a new R15 for Test Ride.

I had to ride almost 200 kms taking frequent breaks to reach home that day. I was looking for motul coolant, but couldn't get it anywhere near my home. Got the Castrol Radicool instead. This is actually meant for heavy duty vehicles like trucks, but since I had no other option, I decided to go for it. It had to be mixed with water in a 1:3 ratio (750 ml of water for 250 ml coolant). When I loosened the coolant drain bolt, there was not even a single drop of coolant inside. I hope I haven't damaged the engine much .

I filled up the radiator and the reservoir(it was also empty). Rode it around for 10~15 kms in high revs, the engine didn't heat up. Its running good now .
