I personally do not think it'd be wise to buy this motorcycle due to following reasons:-

    1. A yamaha if given adequate maintenance do not need an engine rebuild within 40000kms. Mine has clocked 46k kms and still it's pretty good with a basic maintenance. Japenese make really solid bike unless the rider is nuts and hell bent to choke it.
    2. I believe you don't know what all has been change in rebuild, so there are chances that there are still some worn out parts inside which may require replacement in near future.
    3. Fairing will cost you a good amount of money.

Overall prima facie it doesn't look like a very good bike and in my opinion you should look for some other bike..

I am looking to buy an R15 V2 2011 model. It has clocked 40k kms and has had a engine rebuild recently. The motorcycle was involved in a crash and post that it was repaired and used without a fairing for 800kms. I rode the bike today and the everything feels really smooth in it. What all should i look for before buying the bike ? I would also like to know how much would it cost to for the front fairing and headlight assembly.

Engine rebuild, crashed twice. I am giving a green, as long as the motorcycle chassis is in good shape, and the crash was just a minor one. Secondly, an engine rebuild is nothing to worry about, as long as the rebuild itself was done properly, and the bike itself is performing great. Do give heed to look into your chain sprocket, brake pad, and coneset bearing, as these do wear exceptionally fast.

It's a Yamaha, it will serve till Jesus comes! Just give it the love and care it deserves, by maintaining a periodic service chart, and this will clock more than 1.5 lakh KMS happily with the same charm. R15 eyes closed is, was, and will forever be a fantastic machine to ride and own.

    Good luck.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END
