why don't you guys change the oil after completing 100kms (I know company doesn't insist). But anyway it wont do any harm to the engine. 100, 500, 2000 and every 2500-3000kms is what I followed in my Twister(just 110cc). Till 500 Under 40kmph and till 2000 under 60kmph. Never put any strain on engine in any gear till 2000. It works like gem (70+kmpl and 110 kmph top speed on speedo) even after 17000kms.
Love the ride, not the destination

Well, the riding posture is certainly very aggressive, pretty similar to the v1 I would say. But the thing is the seat is now much wider and longer(?). It provides very good under thigh support.
I haven't sat on the bike for longer than 30mins at a stretch and I didn't feel any pain in shoulders. Certainly no back pain. There was some pain in the wrists though.
And, My R15 is Black. Its magnificent.

The comfort for long rides is a question?

90 kms in a single day and well all the apprehensions about back pain and shoulder pain were thrown out the window. yes wrist pain is persistent. may be it will take some time getting used to it.
I'll wait for more reviews & take couple of test rides more...since I'm thinking of 300kms+ tours. The reviews says,
    1. Tourers will benefit from enhanced braking and high speed stability because of the bigger rear disk and wider rear tyre on the new version. However, we feel the more aggressive design and with more weight on the front, touring on this bike will be little more tiring as compared to the old model. Source
    2. The saddle is in line with international super-sports machines with its design as well as its feel and its posture aiding track riding, while rider comfort takes a backseat. Bad news for tourers then. Source

May be it is not fit for touring...

V1 does 71-73 in 6th @ 5000rpm. Still I feel the top end would be the same.

i have completed around 240kms in 2 days and boy do my shoulders and wrist cry out for mercy.. i dont know if its just me getting used to the riding position or is what a racing bike offers???

experienced guys out there please let us "the newbies" know the perfect sitting position, the exercise to strech out, the run-in period tips
Yes, the humming sound as soon as the bike starts is there for me too.
And the radiator fan switches on when the bike is ON but it stops as soon as I turn the engine OFF. Is this normal?

And 240kms in 2 days is wicked!

Pls wait and see what happens at 10.5k rpm. Same bhp but different ecu mapping means definitely there is difference in speeds for same rpm. But that does't mean it would give better top end.

    We have to wait

    Congrats on your new V2!!

I would suggest you change it asap.!!

Changing the oil is the best thing you could do to a brand new engine which is in its brake-in period.

The first 50kms would do most of the wearing process of a new engine. So you can go ahead and change the oil asap.

Single can of Yamalube (that is mentioned in the user manual) should do. It should cost Rs.270/- (price in chennai).
