    Thanx all. forgot to mention, the bike costed me 72,450/- on road which is even less then what the dealer told me before the bike was launched in Tripura.
    @Wildnerd- most common colour found here in agartala is black and red.
    @xszpranajit- dont have any proper idea about hardcore offroading. but according to NarenCharans friend who is a proffesional dirtbike rider it is decent enough. and in corner curving im finding it more confident then my FZ16 (in tarmac) though a bit different feel because of high sitting point.
    @avinrichards- no plan for any mods till now bro

    Id been to a Hero showroom yesterday, here in bangalore. The bike definitely looks good up close. It looks beefy, not the broomstick on wheels I was imagining it to be and what the pictures make it look to be. It mostly looks well built, though the front mudguard looked flimsy with bad paint matching and crappy gloss.

    Too bad they werent offering any test rides. Price quoted was ~ 80k. supposed waiting period for black and red is about 20 days. Green and orange is readily available. Orange looks bad, looks faded. Blue is unavailable. Judging by the waiting period, it looks like this bike is not as much of a hot buy as the other bikes from hero honda...atleast here in bangalore, as of now.

    No center stand, no other accessories than mirrors, side stand, crash guard, saree guard and plates. A bike like this is prone to punctures(assuming its ridden where its supposed to be). i dont understand why they dont provide a center stand, atleast as a separate purchase like the r15. I didnt check if it had any mounting points for the center stand. Does it?

    Im planning to buy this within the next few months provided I first get a test ride and also provided that no other manufacturer announces any plans for this segment. Has anyone from bangalore bought this yet? Is any showroom in bangalore offering test rides on this?
    ------------

    @nilhawk: Beter than an fz at cornering? Thats good news. Then its safe to assume that the suspension behaves itself in corners.

    well you can save near about Rs.1000+ if you do the registration and insurance by yourself like i done when i brought my yamaha R15 V.1 its cost me in total Rs103000/-. Good choice for tripura Road the Impluse congrats for the new bike but feels like the open chain need to lube regularly because it a first bike in hero moto (hero honda) family with open chain plus rear suspension area will splash the dirt and mud to both the rider and pillion due to lot of open area ???????

    hi guys,

    Thanks for sharing your experiences with the bike. Iput a deposit down and am waiting to test drive it here in Bangalore

    @2strokerama

    I went to Nikhi's on Bellary road and the price they quotes was 82K -- seems high compared to prices in other states. They say a bike will be available for test drive first week of Jan and deliveries will begin after that. Do you know if any dealers are offering test drives or have the bike in stock? Please let me know..
