A 19 year old cd100 deluxe! Am 20 now and the bike came to us when i was 1! Ma mom, dad and me would go triples on it.. Still remember. We were the first then to have a geared motorbike in our road. Obviously times have changed and now i feel awkward to take it out.. But still its damn valuable to me.. Dad wanted to sell it but am against it.. Till date the engine did not have any serious issues.. Just normal sevicing. Never has the engine ceased.. But the only problem is this bike cannot be called a vintage.. Cause that segment is dominated by yams, RDs, etc.. But still the bike rocks.. Smooth and simple....

Same here. But I still take it out for leisure rides. It cannot be called a vintage as for now, but wait a 5 more years and it will surely be. And the engine and gear box, I'm in love with it....

no matter how much you rape the bike's gears the bike is still as good as new!! For about a year i used to change the gears without clutch.. Usually. Not always. But i never noticed any degrade in the gear-box condition thanks to honda..

Never did that on my baby... And even now I can say I love the gear shifts of CD100SS more than my latest acquisition (P200NS).

Clutchless shifting does not affect the wear and tear of the gearbox IF done correctly.
