I own a CBR150R which is around 4 years old now. My rear tyre (TVS) gave up on me as it had a lot of punctures. I had to change the tyre. I researched a lot about tyres and had 3 Choices MRF, Pirelli, Michelin. Michelin was out of my budget (was costing more than 6k), and heard that Pirelli tyres are too soft for Indian roads, So I had to choose MRF. I was given two choices in MRF, MRF Revz S(130/70 - 17) and MRF Masseter(140/70 - 17). I heard the Masseter was very good and it's better to switch to it, but the problem was tyre profile change. I was not sure about the changing in tyre profile. But after searching online and reading few review I went ahead with Masseter. But after changing I came to know that I can't fit my plastic chain guard as it hits the tyre a little bit. Also I'm a little worried about the tyre hitting the swing arm in the joint as there in only around 5 to 7mm gap between the tyre and swing arm centre joint(near suspension).

Can anyone tell if this will create any problem ? and how can I fit my chain guard back again (without it there is dirt flying all around the bike, not to mention the chain lube.)

    Please help.
No problem whatsoever running a massetter on my 150r for past 10k kms.

The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Thanks a lot mate. I'm some what relieved now.

If you don't mind, can you please share the pics of your bike ? Esp. the close up shots of rear wheel, swing arm and rear suspension.

Get it topped up every service or whenever it is low. Full coolant flush can be done every couple of years or 20,000 - 30,000 kms.

Changing it every year is recommended, but if you can't, then at least make sure it's replaced every 10k to 15k kms.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Liquimoly is not better than Motul. But you won’t feel bad about using it.
In Motul after 1000 or 1500 kms you’ll find reduced oil level in your bike. In liqui moly you won’t experience it.
