I don't think so it is FULLY KTM NOW they having 72 KTM show room all over the India NOT BAJAJ PROBIKING show rooms Anymore with their own KTM service center only for KTM bikes.
It remains Bajaj Probiking.... Just changing the paint and adding some stickers wont help! You can anytime find discovers and pulsar 150s being serviced there and u will find Discovers in area "reserved for KTMs" . I find "Probiking" word cooler too .

riot tell us more about your ride experience. Your first ride home with the bike. Traffic city riding experience, longish ride experience etc.
waiting for a delivery is really tough so anything Bollywood style would be really soothing

I havent got my bike delivered yet. I have just been wiping my hands on a bike allocated to a showroom (thanks to few contacts).
First experience was that it attracts a lot of attention due to its flashy color combination and that strange exhaust note. Though not as much a Baby Ninja or GT but it attracts stares more than D200. People pay special attention to those hand-guards and i have been asked many times "bhaiya, yeh cover kahan se lagwaya?, kya is bike ke saath aata hai?" (where did you get this cover from? does it come with this bike?)
Traffic experience is okayish so far. I havent got stuck in any big traffic jam yet. But in normal traffic its just slightly more than Duke 200.
The Bollywood style stuff is that this baby can keep up with a 600 . Unless the 600 rider gets a long straight road, you can stay on there tail.
Long rides will be done on mine when i get delivery. Till then i am happy ripping on Gurgaon toll and DND.

Typed the reply to each one of the posts and due to some issue, it did not get posted, will retry again. Meanwhile here you go. Updates since - Even after delivering the bike to me last Saturday, due to some technical glitz, the dealer was not able to generate Sale letter and other documents required for presenting the bike to RTO. After quite a heated exchange yesterday, he will be presenting the bike today and if Gods are kind, he would have paid the tax tomorrow and hopefully I will be able to ride this weekend. However, I don't think I will be able to stop myself from riding either ways. I took the bike out for a quick spin last night. Some thoughts 1. I think the stock lights are bright but would not be enough for sustained Highway driving at night. 2. There are vibrations - quite noticeable at lower RPMs. esp on the right foot peg 3. The torque at lower end is quite good and I have not felt this outside a superbike 4. Takes no time at going to higher speeds 5. Heating is not an issue, if the road is clear, but the moment the bike is stuck in traffic, it heats up pretty quick 6. The handling is quite good, I am back to the completely upright stand after a long time, it will take me some time getting used to, but it has been handling like a dream 7. Its still too early to comment on cornering abilities and the tyres, but what ever I have experienced till now, I can only praise.

Guys appending the link to my Ducati thread and will be happy to post many pictures and answer all questions about the same there. Lets keep this thread for all our beloved D390.. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/superbik...ligion-23.html
Otlease put up some pics of ur other duc.
You are so lucky.its damn hard to get family's acceptance for a big bike.have been bombarded on every side for trying to get the 390.usual family offers include support for a 'safer car' instead.they think I'm going all stunting once I get the bike.bikers have a bad image due to hooligans.:@
Actually it wil always be a fight. First Parents dont agree then wife does not. So its part of being a biker. Its up to you to differentiate your self from the so called hooligans by wearing the right gear and riding responsibly. Plus work hard and earn the money to buy the big bike from your own money and its all the more fun.

Sir, I really respect the way you take time and reply to each and every query. There are very few who do it, actually! Also respect your way of working towards the big bike dream & your 'changing religion' thread is one of my favorites in SBK section.

After reading atul_chang and riots patient responses to all our questions, I am happy to say that deciding to get the Duke 390 was an excellent decision - considering I picked it over the Ninja 300 which was my original choice.
Few questions -
1. Does the average fuel efficiency reading on the console make sense?
2. How are the brakes(real world use)? Everyone says excellent but on the test bike I rode I did not get much feedback from the rear brake with ABS on (though it worked well).
3. How fast does it go at 7500RPM (run-in limited). People claim 120Kmph.

Just flick the switch and twist my wrist
The beast comes alive, bringing me back to life
A tap to shift and flick of the wrist
The beast takes flight bringing me back to life
Kill the silence, tear apart the dark
The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.

Answers:
1.) Its same as D200. Sometimes even shows 50kmpl. But this bike seems to be maturing with use and i am sure it will return close to 30kmpl when it crosses 5k mark on ODO.
2.) Brakes are good and way better than anything else in its price range, I found the ones in N250R slightly better.
3.) Havent noticed it yet. Honestly speaking i dnt get to see the tacho at all.. it feels more like a heart beat monitor, its hard to keep track of revs on KTM's small tacho. maybe because I am yet to get used to digital tachometer . Will check it for sure.
