Can someone from Mumbai please help me with a GOOD mechanic regarding Fiero engine. My engine is getting heated up quite quickly these days & also when the bike reaches 80kmph it vibrates a lot which was not there before.

Also the engine is drinking oil because after every 1000kms I check the oil level & it is reduced to some 500-600ml only.Can someone please let me know what the issue is?? I have already changed the valves & valves o-rings but it did not solve the problem .

my Fiero F2 is more than 6yrs old, and it is nearing its 80k mark!!! Wow wat a bike it is.... have done n no. of long trips. i ride it every day to college and back, a total dist of 60kms each day. milage is pretty good somewhere between 48 - 52. once i remember it had given me a avg of 58kms (city + highway). just recentl i changed the oil seal (black colour seal circular in shape near the head). No other major issues with the bike.

but the only problem is with the chain. it needs regular oiling and servicing. i guess its a common issue with all fieros. changed my rear tyre twice. currently using the apaches rear. done more than 35k with it. front tyres are original ones.

many say theres a need of a fifth gear. but i dont think its really neede. since it does a top whack of 110kms torque is excellent. i really love my bike. dont want to sell it.

since its out of production there is a little worry about the spare parts. but my authorised service center has assured me theres nothin to worry. parts will be available for the next 5 yrs atleast.

After getting the paint touchup done last year, I recently got the shockers&wheels throughed. Ride feels much more planted now.
Have purchased a new disc plate, pads, drum liner, sprocket rubber&a few other rubbers too. Waiting to get some time to take her for the grand 50K servicing!
Planning to get a new MF battery from Amaron too.
Simply love this bike! She goes on&on without complaining!
Btw, how is the engine condition at 80K kms.mark?

Has anybody changed their Fiero Cam Chain & Adjuster??? what's the cost? is it easily available? and how can it be installed with the correct tension? I have heard that a slack cam chain can damage the engine.

Alright, I have a question here:
I have observed the following happening when the battery charge is low:
1. Horn going weak
2. Indicator buzzers sounding weird&indicator getting stuck sometimes
3. This is the one I want to discuss about: RPM meter fluctuating from 0 to redline when I press the front brake lever, though actual RPM is hardly around 1.
All of the above stop after the bike has been run for sometime.

Off late, I found the above phenomenon recurring&decided to get the battery charged. After charging for a couple of hours, the voltage was showing above 12 volts, so connected it.
Thought the best way to check it would be by only turning on the ignition, but not starting the engine. Checked the indicators, working fine. Checked the horn, was sounding feeble so got the horn tuning done.
Next, when I checked both were working fine.
But, the RPM meter fluctuates as soon as I start the engine&sometimes when I hold the brake. This stops after a few kms.
Could this be a problem of the meter, or is it that the charge is not flowing to the battery? The TVS SVC guys say the battery capacitor is also fine. Battery also shows more than 12V when checked. I am puzzled.

Same thing happened with me, its just that the service centre guy said that there's some eloectorics involved, which must have gone bad and stuff, he didn't sound confident so i tot maybe he's trying to make some money, i didn't get the work done from him, but after a while it stopped and its been a long time it nvr happened again.

Fiero Engine states that 1100 ml of engine oil should be put... however the mechanics just put the 1000 ml that comes standard. That works I guess... but... can anybody point out if it is really better to strictly follow the factory requirements? and why?

I got it checked again-it seems the battery is near the end of its life. It shows a higher voltage after getting charged due to running.
I am planning to change it to a MF battery from Amaron soon.

Since the production of the suzuki fiero had ceased long ago,spare parts hunting has become a headache for fiero owners.My question is-
Can the spares of the rtr(read-engine part such as the cylinder,piston,crank,clutch parts etc etc.......)be successfully used on a fiero..
The thing is my cousin brother has a 2001 suzuki fiero(run only 15000km) at coimbatore kept in good condition,and am half inclined in buying it

They cannot be used, but you would not be requiring them, as the bike has hardly run 15K kms. I believe you can still get the wear&tear parts for your Suzuki Fiero itself at the TVS SVC.
It has a lot of life left in it, start running it!

I wonder who (TVS or SUZUKI) is responsible for the Fiero spare parts now?!?. Now that Suzuki is back in India, I'm sure they could handle the task but is it up to TVS to supply the spares?

Not a big deal. Its a simple process actually. If you are really keen on it, I'll let you know the steps through PM.

I have a Fiero Fx doom running on My classic CBZ, M thinking of getting coil rewinding done & run a 100W bulb on AC & further more next in line is to get done DC with a bigger size battery.

I was wondering if the stock FX reflector can take a load of 100w heat on DC ?

I doubt it. It can take upto 55/60w easily though.

Can you please post some pics of your bike with the fx dome,if its not of much trouble.
