It depends on which format it is uploaded. Most of the times JPEG works perfectly fine, sometimes TIFF images do get compressed. But, if it's not uploadable, please use URL from Google Drive or other cloud devices, it works fine, for the most part.

    The girl said, 'NO!'

    Hello fellow 390 users.
My 23400km run 390 has started emitting smoke from the exhaust -evident after closing the throttle after revving it -the bike gave no symptoms-no overheating,no power loss,no jerkiness,no misfires,no lack of smoothness-nothing to tell something is failing-the bike still goes like a bat out of hell and i am in a quandary.
Should i continue using it till there is perceptive powerloss etc etc or it starts really belching smoke???

@#bpk ,it is pale blueish white smoke-and the bike needs a refill of about 100ml oil every 1000kms- will observe if the oil consumption is more now

Ok, you've to change piston rings

Is it only during cold start you see the smoke, or is the smoke visible even after engine gets warm and constantly emitting from the exhaust? Bluish white is definitely oil burning.

You need to figure out the oil is entering the combustion chamber from bottom through piston rings or from the top through the head,
If the smoke only during the cold start after vehicle is sitting for long time, then it's the time for valve job, could to get the valve job done, replace the valve oil seals and get the seating done.
But if the smoke is emitting continuously even when engine is hot then as pointed out in above post it could piston rings.

Also keep an eye on the coolant level aswell every 1000kms along with oil level, to see if coolant is also getting burnt or not along with oil.

The coolant level has always between the upper n lower levels all through-the smoke is prominent only when you rev it hard and then release the throttle-otherwise it is the smell of the exhaust which tells you that the bike is combusting something else along with petrol.
@#bpk and @kiran2508 -KTM doesn't sell the piston rings separately- cost for piston kit and valve replacement qouted @rs25k and if the crank and bearings are involved then cost projected is @rs45k.
Just need to know if somebody here has had the engine rebuilt -are they happy-the KTM service centre mechanic says he has rebuilt more than 20 Duke/RC390 engines from in and around Ludhiana and says not to worry about rebuilding.
The experience of fellow Xbhpians will be helpful.

they do sell only the rings, but almost no svc will be willing to do it. they are only interested in a full rebuild, so they can sell you more parts.
there was one user here, who had just the rings replaced.. check out this post and a few posts before and after: https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcy...ml#post1301791

i don't think you'd need to touch the crank or bearings. yes, the piston/block kit and valves could set you back by 20-25k.. the 390's block/piston is much more expensive than the 200's.

You stole my words, they just want user to get the whole kit changed "while you are at it" instead of just replacing rings only for which they can charge more money for labor for full replacement vs only rings replacement.

Also, the entire rebuild with everything new part will cost ₹35-38K at best maximum, ₹45K quoted is just SVC being greedy.

    Thank you @s1d and @kiran2508 .
Will check the oil consumption first and then take a call on how to go about it.
As there is only one dealer/SC here, they are only interested in selling the rebuild package.
Of the 8 two wheelers owned till now, this is the only one where there is some engine problem so lack experience
