    I didn't like the wires that can be seen crossing ahead of the meter console.
    Though they aren't that big a hindrance.

    The logo on the Tail section. Wherever Yamaha logos are there they are tastefully done in metal, They feel good to touch to.

    On the Black model, is the center of the tank made of plastic or is it just matte finish?

      Not just the centre strip, the entire tank is made of plastic/fibre. The actual metal tank is inside it, like in the FZ.

          Do the dealer register the bike for you? Most cases I've seen the guys who goes to register from dealer side rides very harsh and race with every other vehicle on road.

            No buddy, check out the pictures carefully, there's an twin cylinder engine, alloys, informative instrument cluster, comfortable seats, etc etc and also the Yamaha reliability, and a CKD produced bike along with those 'Plastics' that come along for 3.8L

              Even when we say plastic, is it hard fibre?
              I'm sure the quality will be very good even if it is plastic or fibre.

                Yes, I got my registration done thru the dealer. But I did not have to visit the RtO for getting the registration done. They informed me, if need be, I'll have to present the bike in the RtO since it was the first R3 to be registered in my regional RTO, nd they were quite comfortable with the fact that I would personally go take my bike..
                Rules might differ from various RtO's and dealers though.. Coz I had to present my four wheeler at a different RtO..

                  Firs of all congratulations on the beauty and I like the build quality of Yamaha...
                  I heard that R3 doesn't have some kind of head light switch is it true ? is it high beam low beam switch or switch to turn on lights ?

                    It should be there mate. as all Yamaha twin headlights have one light for low beam and 2 for high.

                      Yes, you heard it right. It doesn't have a head light on/off button. It stays on when the bike starts and doesn't turn off even by using the engine kill switch. You have to turn the ignition to off position to turn off the headlights completely.
                      Passing light switch and high/low beam switch is present in their usual pisitions

                            Yes it's called Day running light (DRL).
                            It's there in Ninja 300r /250, I think about all high end motorcycles.
