      1. Remove that ugly tyre hugger already.
      2. Tyre hugger was an afterthought.

I saw the video. I meant that another owner changed to Masseter and didn't complain about this.

That Hyd biker is a gifted guy. It'll be awesome if you ignore his suggestions. MRF themselves suggest to go for 140/70/17 for the masseter. You can check their website.

Any tyre with that profile will definitely fit. No issues to be faced.

If you're still not convinced about 140/70, then there's the Pirelli sport demon, Ceat Zoom, Revz S and the Michelin pilot street 130/70.

The Pirellis I'm not sure, they're advertised as sport touring tyres, and I've seen reviews where they mention a 15-20k life. These are not radial.

Revz S is good, but it's puncture prone from the experience my friend had on his R15. It is VFM, being radial.

Ceat Zoom I'm not sure. It is not radial though.

The pilot street is also considered to be a sport touring tyre. Supposed to have good life of around 20-25k kms. Grip is very good, I have it used on bad roads, off-road, slush, gravel, wet and proper roads. It is quite puncture resistant.
It is also expensive, costing 5500 for the 140/70 and 5000 for the 130/70. Lastly, in my opinion it's a looker. Used in the BMW G310R and TVS Akula.

                  EDIT-

I forgot about your budget and went on blabbering[emoji12].
For 6000 I would definitely go for the FY1+Masseter combo.

Hello guys..since i was mentioned, it's my duty to reply back.
I have clocked close to 2k kms with the masseter tyre.
And what a great tyre it is.
Did a long ride of 680kms and had a great time. This tyre is way way better than the stock tyre.
The tyre gives you more confidence during leans, braking.
Rtr has the perfect suspension setup for cornering and Masseter makes the cornering experience more fun.
Regarding removal of tyre hugger-I haven't done that.the tyre doesn't touch the tyre hugger.
Even i saw the hyd biker's video on YouTube and was amazed with his reason to remove the tyre hugger 😂😂..
Yes the masseter is a bigger tyre when compared to the stock tyre..But rtr is able to handle it without any fuss.
                          Slight performance drop is there.
                          But nothing to cry about.
I am fully happy with my decision to fix the masseter tyre.
Need some more answers do let me know.
                          Ride safe.
                          Enjoy.

140/70 R17 is the way to go, if shifting from stock tyres. Our RTRs will be more than happy to accept them. 🙌🙌🙌

Imo zapper fy1 for the front & perelli sport demon at the back will be ideal choice... Why up size the tyers & face performance drop when stock sizes are available....
