Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I would recommend the MRF Zapper FY1 (90/80)+Michelin PSR (Either 130/70 or 140/70 based on your choice) combo. Would cost around 7-8k in total for the combo.Originally posted by vins1120 View PostApprox cost of both tyres
140/70 would make the bike more front biased (due to increase in the height of the rear) and slightly reduce the acceleration.Last edited by Shashank K R; 12-04-2017, 04:17 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi Bro,Originally posted by ALI.R View PostI will be getting the jerking issue looked at shortly at the SVC. Hopefully should be sorted out.
I have Pirelli tyres on my RTR200 and they don't skid at all. Even under controlled hard braking. Use both brakes always and should help.
Wet surface grip is also good in Pirelli tyres? I am more worried in the rains...
Thanks

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Just had a quick ride on one of friends RTR 200.
Never thought this could be better than FZ25. I think TVS is not marketing the product correctly. I m almost 6 foot. Found the saddle to be very comfortable and tank recessed areas fit my tall legs correctly.
I think RTR is a superior product over FZ (with mrf rubber)
Happy to report that it’s my second TVS product which could fit my frame correctly. The first was victor.

I am 6 foot and the bike was comfortable for me, I blame the motorbeam channel for spreading absolute lies that its not suitable for tall riders.

True. They have spread lies and some people blindly do not want to consider Apache because it’s meant for short people. That’s absolutely wrong.Originally posted by kolo45 View PostI am 6 foot and the bike was comfortable for me, I blame the motorbeam channel for spreading absolute lies that its not suitable for tall riders.
I agree with Apache 160 and 180 though. [emoji39]
I don’t see any marketing done by TVs either to correct the same too.

All weather grip is much better than the stock Remoras. It's a good set of tyres but having used Michelins before, I'd rate the PSRs as better.Originally posted by Sai Madhav View PostHi Bro,

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Update on my bike.
Kms done: 21800 kms
Yesterday the silencer was changed under warranty and also fork oil seal leak work done and i had to pay nothing. That's good. Silencer i thought that i would have to pay for it as i have done more than 20k kms but the SVC manager got the approval for replacement, so a good customer service from the service center also.
Now the bike is back to smooth. Enjoying the ride on this bike everyday. Only 1 dream now is i should be able to ride it to Leh & Ladakh someday on this bike. But busy in regular life and running behind money which is making it difficult to live my dream. Hoping for the best someday.

Why was the silencer changed in the first place?Originally posted by rakowli View PostUpdate on my bike.

Motorbeam is at the bottom of the pile when it comes to automotive journalism IMO.Originally posted by kris123456 View PostTrue. They have spread lies and some people blindly do not want to consider Apache because it’s meant for short people. That’s absolutely wrong.

Anyways, I'm 6' tall, 80kg and me having fat thighs, wasn't too comfortable on the RTRs (200 included). My legs don't even fit in the tank recesses on the R15
. However I've seen other taller folks fitting comfortably on the 200. Don't get me wrong, the 200 is still a great bike.

Just took a TD of RTR 200 4V... It was a brand new bike with 0.5 KM on the odo... Really loved that the gear shifting is the same as my RX100... 5 KMS only and I really loved the bike... Dealer said that all BS4 RTR200 bikes are only coming with TVS Remona tyres and that RTR 200 with Pirelli tyres have been discontinued... Hoping to get my finances in order ASAP so that I can go ahead with the purchase...
Regards,
Sai

Silencer had cranked from inside and was making the irritating noise like some vessel is vibrating and as it was inside nothing from out so could not get the welding also done. So had to change it completely.Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostWhy was the silencer changed in the first place?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hi.
First post on xBhp. Going to keep it short and simple
Recently got hold of a friend's RTR 200 for a couple of months while he's out of the country.
Lovely machine! Can't get enough of it. First thing I did is go solo to Lavasa. The chassis balance is superb! I'm no professional rider, but I can tell this is one mean bike!
I have a couple of questions to ask though.
What mileage are you getting? I have previously owned a Unicorn Dazzler. My riding style has always been calm and could squeeze 60 kmpl from it.
No matter how I ride this one though, go constantly 80+ on the highway or in bumper to bumper traffic, I'm unable to get more than 34 kmpl here.
I use reserve to reserve as a way of determining fuel efficiency. I'm reading people getting up to 38 here, just curious.
Also, the front sprocket makes an awful sound no matter how much you lube it. I've complained to the ASC, they said something about replacing it with a modified wheel. Will it be under warranty or do I have to shell out for the same. Has anyone else faced the problem?
