Need some help with the prices and tyres for Apache 200 FI. I went to Hare Krishna (Malad) and Matrix Motors (Mira Road) this weekend and both of them have the bike with Remora Tyres. They are saying that TVS has stopped giving Pirelli tyres. Whereas the TVS website shows Pirelli tyres. Also, the ex-showroom prices they are quoting is 1600 higher than what is shown on the TVS website.
(107600 - Showroom quoted price vs 105980 - website quote) The website quoted price is for the Pirelli tyres and the showroom quoted price are for Remora tyres!!!
Need some help with difference in prices and tyres as I wanted Pirelli tyres.
So I'm just guessing here, I paid 1.09L on road for the bike in Maharashtra in December. That could mean the prices have increased since then (because of the budget maybe?) and TVS have not updated the new price on their website. You should call other showrooms and get a on road quotes for more info.
I was also told that Pirelli tyres have been discontinued but they're available at similar prices outside if you want to get them. You will also get a good discount by exchanging the almost new Remoras.

There was no news of TVS increasing the prices but in July '17 there was a news on price reduction due to GST Effect, though the exact amount was not disclosed...Originally posted by kolo45 View PostSo I'm just guessing here, I paid 1.09L on road for the bike in Maharashtra in December. The price difference between a Remora Tyre and Pirelli Tyre variant for a normal Apache 200V is around Rs. 5000 (TVS Website prices). Shouldn't the FI be cheaper by approx. same amount considering that they now come with Remora tyres?

Looks like TVS has now made the Pirelli tyres as optional on the website...(or I must have missed that part earlier) But the prices remain the sameOriginally posted by prashantbhat25 View PostThere was no news of TVS increasing the prices but in July '17 there was a news on price reduction due to GST Effect, though the exact amount was not disclosed...

. At least now have the clarity... Will go ahead with the booking for Apache 200 FI.

I am having the same problem. Rear shock is too soft. But there is no DIY for that. We have to take the bike to SVC to fix that.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi, i facing serious braking issues with my bike. sometimes the brake lever is so good and breaks feedback were great. Sometimes its too spongy and i have to hit it hard.
I am facing these issue in both front and back breaks. Can you guide me how to get rid of this. Yesterday my bike got skited because of the unusual behaviors of the breaks.
Need your assistance badly.
is this the part you have changed from Hornet Kindly confirm.
Originally posted by ALI.R View PostSo, I have finally managed to get rid of the spongy feeling /inadequate bite thanks to my trusted local mechanic earlier today. I have basically given up on the SVC as they are clueless and frustrating.
The culprit was the piston assembly in the master cylinder which pumps the brake oil into the line. Everything else is working perfectly. Upon inspecting the piston assembly, it was clear that springs had recessed and were no longer strong enough to pump the brake oil properly. Also noticed were scratches the improper piston had caused on the walls of the cylinder shaft and it required polishing.
Instead of using a stock piston as replacement (approx. Rs. 300), my mechanic used one which comes as stock on Honda Hornet (approx Rs500). It's a perfect fit and the braking performance is now better than it has ever been on my RTR. Thank **** for that! I have also replaced the Dot3 fluid with Dot4 type.
On a bike so well put together, I wonder why TVS chose to cut corners on the braking unit of all things. The unit is being sourced from some obscure Chinese manufacturer it seems (I noticed some chinese markings inside the master cylinder. Hope they don't do that on more advanced bikes like the Akula.Last edited by hemnath; 02-09-2018, 04:25 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
visited three showroom today for fi+abs
first showroom has information about on road price (1,24,500) here in dehradun but does not have any idea about availability
Sale person for second showroom owns the TVS company because according to him it will never be launched,to add insult to injury this particular showroom only will have 310 as per TVS website.
Third showroom, the smallest one is ready to deliver it within 10 days if i make advance booking with 10,000.The on price is same here i.e. 1,24,500.
Tomorrow i will visit the oldest TVS showroom in dehradun,I have very good relation with almost complete staff there and see if they are ready to deliver it within or 20 days .2030 " we used to ride petrol motorbike and you can not even afford one drop of it"

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Update at 24900kms....did my 9th service from outside that is my trusted mechanic. Just 1 servicing remaining with TVS and then full stop. They just screwed my front fork as their work on oil seal didn't work twice and it leaked. Yesterday when he opened the fork the steel pipe had marks of screw driver and because of that it was leaking. Tried to buy new pipes for both sides but did not get the same in the market. Have ordered the same for 2750 per side. So another 15-20 days till I get the same. 2 years after launch and still parts are difficult to source. That's bad. Rest normal servicing done. Changed oil to motul 7100 fully synthetic. Tomorrow will check the real smoothness after the oil change and not ridden much after that. Other modifications changed air filter to oval filter from HP. Ride is more linear after that but need to adjust AFR as per my liking. Enjoy riding this bike everyday.... I am loving it.
