Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Ya you are right but i had the worst experience at ASC, during first service they didn't even changed my oil nor changed my oil filter i was very furious at them, so i have given my bike to desi mechii which has much better workshop then ASC, i dont mind giving labor charge but service should be good.Originally posted by #bpk View PostNot common at all. Which ASC have you visited? I am visiting Matrix Service Centre at Mira Road. Fairly happy with them.

Please esacalate this case to TVS. You may find the email/contact details on the website.Originally posted by Sagar.zhala View PostYa you are right but i had the worst experience at ASC, during first service they didn't even changed my oil nor changed my oil filter i was very furious at them, so i have given my bike to desi mechii which has much better workshop then ASC, i dont mind giving labor charge but service should be good.
It is advised to mention as many details as possible about the experience, right from arrival. Also, followup regularly on the escalation.
Good luck.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
It may definitely be better to do the work outside instead of the asc, but if affects warranty and that can be heavy on the wallet at times. You will have to weigh that and take a call.Originally posted by Sagar.zhala View PostYa you are right but i had the worst experience at ASC, during first service they didn't even changed my oil nor changed my oil filter i was very furious at them, so i have given my bike to desi mechii which has much better workshop then ASC, i dont mind giving labor charge but service should be good.

Yaa i know that but leaving a vehicle with people who will do better job is more practical than leaving with ASC who doesn't even handle our vehicle with careOriginally posted by Vipergts07 View PostIt may definitely be better to do the work outside instead of the asc, but if affects warranty and that can be heavy on the wallet at times. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hi guys,
I too got my new RTR 200 4v ABS Black Race edition bike last month. I am very happy riding this bike. Yet to get first servicing. I am from Hyderabad.
One thing I am worried about mainly is the heat generating from the engine when I am riding in 2nd gear. Daily I have to ride for nearly 42 kms. Above 2nd gear the heat generating is ok. Bearable. But after riding for about 15 minutes in 2nd gear I can feel the heat in between my legs. Even some part of the tank also gets heated. It won't catch fire right. Is this behavior ok.
Can anyone suggest me what I can do.

Completely normal before 1st service. Nothing to worry about. If it's too much, the bike won't even start. It can take care of itself.Originally posted by Ramboram View PostHi guys,

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hey guys,
I lost one of my bike keys. I have another key at home. What should be the course of action now? What is the impact of losing one of the keys? Do I need to get another set of keys? If so, how to get a new pair and the price for this.
Please help

You can either spend a fortune and get the entire lock set replaced for peace of mind, or get a duplicate key made for a fraction of the cost and peace of mind.Originally posted by Ysahil92 View PostHey guys,

I am using Michelin Pilot Sporty at front and Michelin Pilot Street at the rear. No upsizing same as the original size.
Performance-wise it is good nothing like very good but does the job. Better then Remora.
I paid a total of Rs.7000/- for both.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Use the spare original key, get two duplicate keys done and keep one with you and keep one safe, so you have three keys in total. This won't void warranty or won't damage the seal. These days keys are computer cut and offer pretty much spot on fit and finish, so nothing to worry. Continue using the spare OE key. The effects by which you mean theft are highly likely if the place you've parked is prone to miscreants and parked away from home/office most of the time or a key missing from the ignition without your supervision for a brief period.Originally posted by Ysahil92 View PostHey guys,

But if you're sure it's lost somewhere chances of theft though feasible, are slim as it can be any bike's key. In the end, I'd recommend to use your sound judgmental instincts to go for the right course of action.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Recommend changing the lock set if you are unsure of where the key was lost. Usually costs about 1200 or whereabouts of Minda make for a 3 lock set.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostUse the spare original key, get two duplicate keys done and keep one with you and keep one safe, so you have three keys in total.
