Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I got the battery replaced. But the next day itself bike is showing battery low icon and it won't start again. I think there is some problem with the charging mechanism but the SVC people have wrongly asked me to get a new battery. Will take it to SVC again today.Originally posted by Aswinlogi View PostYes, amaron is the best buy !!!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I identified a pretty serious issue. When I put my bike down, to clean the grease residue under the sprocket area, the petrol was flowing through the tank cap. It's almost like the cap is not there. This is very very extreme lack of quality by TVS.
Someone please help me, whether I can replace the cap in warranty stating this issue?
This could be a dangerous affair when bike was put down at the road by say some accident at 100 degree. There are chances that it would immediately catch fire.
Everyone please check this on your bike too. I don't think this could be a result of just one bike's QA fault.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Two things. Start off by checking if the battery terminals are torqued in properly. Loose terminal lugs would mean the dash showing low battery or sometimes the electricals can work intermittently. Loose terminals can also cause a short, so start first by thoroughly inspecting your battery terminal lugs for proper torque. If everything's fine, and still your battery isn't charging, your stator coil might have failed, get your stator replaced at your SVC and it's replaced for free if you're under warranty. But before that make sure the charging voltage is as per spec, which will be checked by the SVC guys before replacing the stator. Keep your observations posted.Originally posted by Ysahil92 View PostI got the battery replaced. But the next day itself bike is showing battery low icon and it won't start again. Did you fill your tank to the brim? If yes, then any bike when filled to the brim and on side stand have high probability of fuel leaking or dripping from the tank. You can replace most of the items, given you're under warranty for free. But, make sure it's a genuine issue as opposed to overfilling and what not. By putting down your bike, can you explain did you use your side stand or complete turtled the motorcycle for cleaning?Originally posted by Arunachalam View PostI identified a pretty serious issue. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I got the battery charged at a battery shop and he told me that there is a problem with the rectifier. The bike is with SVC now. They say they will check for any cut in the wiring and will check the rectifier too. They said no labour cost will be charged but spare part will be charged. I said bike is under warranty. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I completely turned the bike down to clean the grease residue under sprocket and near the main stand. So yes, the tank was at 10L capacity. I won't fill beyond that. If it just dripped or leaked I wouldn't mind that. But it was almost 1L of petrol went down in matter of seconds. That's what really disappointed me.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostDid you fill your tank to the brim? Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
One thing, I want to assure from you guys, as this is my 2nd apache but First ABS apache so far. I want to know from you that is ABS noisy (Rear wheel) ? means while doing hard breaking, I feel some hard reverse pressure and noise also. I know this is how ABS works but does it really work in this scenario. some time I just feel like as soon as ABS get to work, The breaking stops, and bike could not stop..Originally posted by Mohd Irfan View PostHello Guys, I have recently bought TVS APACHE RTR 200 4V RACE EDITION 2.0 (Pheeww). The manual specifically and repeatedly says to not lie the motorcycle on its side. But what you're describing is not normal either.Originally posted by Arunachalam View PostI completely turned the bike down to clean the grease residue under sprocket and near the main stand. That is how the ABS is supposed to work. Based on your description, it seems that you rely a bit too much on the rear brake.Originally posted by Mohd Irfan View PostOne thing, I want to assure from you guys, as this is my 2nd apache but First ABS apache so far. And the brake noise is commom in this bike, even in non ABS models. But it won't be noticable most of the time.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Quick update on my bike; completed 350kms, getting it serviced next week. Still didn't get the owners manual. Gears are getting smoother and better (they were smooth in the first place). Found a small issue, there's a oil leak near front sprocket area and in the side stand. I don't think it's coming from engine, can anybody let me know what it is?
Also touched 80kmph couple of times, there are little vibes at that speed. Any way to reduce it? And as for engine oil, I'm thinking of going with motul 7100 10w40. Any other suggestions? Finally, please suggest me a chain lube. Affordable ones would be fine, motul C2 is kind of expensive.TVS Apache 200 RTR 4v (2019-Forever)
