Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I went to minimum of 35kmph on 5th gear. I changed to lower one as don't wanna to get knocked off. I think it can go little lower also.Originally posted by Retro View PostJust wanted to ask the A200 owners here at what speed can you ride the bike in top gear without lugging or knocking the engine?Once there was a man and a Bike....

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi all
Here's a quick query for all rtr 200 owners here. What is the recommended oil capacity for the engine?
The reason I'm asking is because this block has an oil cooler. So what is the company mentioned amount to fill and refill?
Is it 1000ml / 1L or is it more than that to compensate for the oil required in the oil cooler unit lines?
Does all the oil drain out when a periodic oil change is carried out during service?
Looking forward to answers from all experts / owners (if there are different reasons for different quantities, do mention those too).Ride it like you stole it! But buy your own helmet.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Oil required is 1.2 Litres of synthetic oil. Have no idea about the oil drain thingy. But when we refill again we have to fill 1.2 Litres only.Originally posted by prd8r View PostHi all

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Stick to the manual. Usually the manual states the amount of oil to be refilled, when your are just replacing the oil, and when there is an engine overhaul. On a normal engine oil replacement, not 100% of the oil comes out, there will more than 200 ML of oil lodged inside the engine's internal which is impossible to get out of. But the good news is they absolutely do not harm the new oil or the bike in anyway, and in fact they are required for the bearings inside the engine so that they stay lubricated. Usually 200 to 300 ML (depending on the manufacturer and the engine characteristics) is used on an engine when there is a complete engine overhaul meaning when the bike's engine is dismantled to pieces, because as I said, oil fills all the cribs and crevices inside the engine.Originally posted by prd8r View PostHi all

Bottomline: Make sure you follow the engine oil recommendation mentioned in the manual and periodic service, you'll have nothing to worry about.

Exactly! 1.2L for general service oil change and 1.4L for an engine rebuild, which I think isn't necessary to tell but NevermindOriginally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostStick to the manual. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Now-a-days i am feeling the vibes at footpeg at high speed like above 90kmph speed. Has anybody felt the same if not then anything that i need to check. the bike has done 4600kms so far and will be due for servicing after the next 400kms. i am planning to get it serviced at 5500kms.
So any suggest to control the vibes. Still i have to use the same TVS lube so cannot plan to change to a better oil. i had changed the oil at 2nd servicing also where it was only required to top-up.

Check your oil level! Seems low to me as you said your service is closing in. However, was it the FS or Mineral that was used last time? And yeah, the bike hardly has any vibs!Originally posted by rakowli View PostNow-a-days i am feeling the vibes at footpeg at high speed like above 90kmph speed. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Ok I will check the oil level. We have to by default use FS oil for this bike. I have used TVS FS lube the last time I got it serviced. Yes the vibes are not bad but can be felt at high speed.Originally posted by JS16 View PostCheck your oil level! Seems low to me as you said your service is closing in. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Slight vibrations post 90 KMPH on a single cylinder is common. Since you have an upcoming service, stick to the oil to what the manufacturer recommends to keep your warranty in tact. Try switching to Motul or Shell (provided it's in the grade recommended by TVS) after your free service are done.Originally posted by rakowli View PostNow-a-days i am feeling the vibes at footpeg at high speed like above 90kmph speed.
