It is the most inaccurate measure in the world, okay not inaccurate, but highly inconsistent..

Today, again in B2B traffic, the low oil pressure lit up, and after I reached the office, I checked the oil level and it was perfectly fine.

I have noticed a weird issue. My oil level window isn't consistent all the time. Some times it shows half and sometimes near the lower mark.

Also, the bigger issue is; after the engine is hot, say after riding some 20 kms, the low oil pressure warning light pops up (The warning light, not a message on the on the display). This happens only at idle, and once I rev it above 4k RPM it disappears and doesn't come back for a very long time.

I showed this at the showroom, and they say that the there is enough oil, and since we are changing at 1000 kms anyway, no need to do anything now..

Even though I don't think it is anything serious. I'm extra cautious because it is engine oil.

    Any comments on this?
Yes, the oil measurement check is dodgy and it can be confusing sometimes. Always make sure the bike is held perfectly straight when checking the oil level, warmed up engine does make the oil flow more freely and help with the right measurement. Secondly, low oil pressure tantrums are dime a dozen. The oil pressure sensor on the left of the engine head, can be a probably culprit for throwing erroneous readings on the display. Going per you, since the oil level is fine and yet the display throws a warning, get your oil pressure sensor checked/replaced

Recently I have been hearing rubbing noise while braking and I am unable to confirm whether rubbing noise is present even without braking.
I suspect this issue has cropped up after get chain adjustment done[Not in SVC ]. Just a vague guess.

Can anyone clarify if this is Normal, if not What might have caused the rubbing noise?

    Thanks,
Rubbing from the rear can be caused by three things, a chain that is dry or a chain that is excessively tight or a combination of both, and finally a loose chain itself. If you hear rubbing or squeaking noise from the front side/wheel of the motorcycle, remove your brake pads, glaze them using a medium grit sandpaper and install them back.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    Here's the UPDATE:

KTM area service manager inspected the bike and found that too much dust was found in the engine oil and oil filter. Oil filter was clogged which resulted in bike stalling. Still i am not able to understand how so much dust entered?

Secondly they had no clue about coolant getting drained. Parts will arrive in 10 days.

    Nothing new
    Same shit happened with me
Was driving peacefully and saw a new r15 exiting a showroom
Guy was starting at me I thought he wanted to race but I ignored and he didn't even rev or do anything and was driving slow
So I went a head and was driving normally and a round about was just ahead of me and so I slowed down
The moment I hit the brakes BAMM!! Something hit me from the back and my bike went haywire and started fish tailing crazy but luckily I was able to control it and when I looked back I saw the r15 guy down on the road and being dragged by inertia with his bike. I was so pissed I didn't even bother to stop

the thing that happened was he was actually trying to race me and was on the left side and tried to overtake me from the back by going to the right and going ahead of me
But when I braked he panicked and locked his wheels and dashed into me

    Only damage was
Just got a small crack near about an inch on the rear mudguard which is covered by the ktm sticker now

On the positive, it's great that you guys have sent a mail to KTM and set the things running. Now, if you can get a new engine that would be well and good, but usually they repair the engine with a new head gasket and an engine flush. It' was mindful of you guys that you didn't ride the motorcycle post the inspection of the coolant leak, as it would have definitely lead to seizure along the way and would have made things even more bitter.

I'd suggest, you guys leave the bike there at the SVC, and follow up with the KTM chaps for an engine replacement, which is considered a safer option. Do keep us posted on the updates, if any from their side regarding the status quo.

    Cheers!

    Some updates
KTM official said that its actually a small problem and they said NO to the engine replacement or the bike, even after us sending them mails for replacement and proceeding legally if they don't. The bike is fixed now and its lying in the showroom, my question is if we take the bike back will there be any future problems since the coolant entered the engine and it may lead to corrosion as such?! or there will be performance or stalling issues?!
Anybody had this problem with the older bikes please suggest me what can be done in this case.
    Thanks!

Yes as I iterated, KTM is hard to please and they wouldn't be comfortable changing an engine for such a small issue. However, I'd suggest you guys do a thorough engine flush if possible and then install fresh oil. Flushing will clean the oil present in the engine which was mixed with coolant. Though, to your point, there won't be any significant rusting as it's a mix of oil and water, the oil itself will not allow things to rust, at least for the time being.

Will the issue repeat again? Purely, it depends on how the current work is done at the SVC level and the parts installed.

    Cheers!

    Hi Guys,

Recently I am noticing a weird issue with the LCD Screen.

When the Bluetooth is connected and I am in the music control screen, sometimes while there is a change in the song or so the LCD restarts randomly. I have even noticed it to restart while jumping a speed breaker. This happens only on the Music Control Screen, not on the default screen.

Similar with the LCD Discoloration, When on Music Screen and the back light changes LCD Discoloration happens when the RPM indicator hits the speed limiter.

I think I am on the latest version of the software (Updated in July), Have any of u noticed these issues ?

Yes it's the buggy firmware to blame for, restrict yourself from using the Bluetooth functionality till we get a fix for that else you would be loosing the odo reading Everytime it resets.
