Here’s presenting my all brand spanking new 2017 HONDA CBR 650F!! {Will come to it's name (Yume) part later}
My love for two wheelers had always been there (just like any other normal boy in his childhood) but the first time I realized it was when I rode a motorcycle for the first time, way back in 2003. It was a red color Bajaj Boxer which seemingly had a lot of power for me to handle. I managed to pop the clutch a little too quickly and hence the Wheelie, somehow managed to control it though and got it down!
My first two wheeler that my parents got me was a Honda Eterno which was the cool thing in town as it had much more power than the then popular Scooty or Honda Activa. I kept it for a year and a half, used it for my daily commutes to school and tuitions.
Then came in the Big Daddy, my parents got me the Hero Honda KARIZMA (Red) for my B’day, after a lot of convincing though! Every rider’s wet dream back then when it was launched as the first home grown sports tourer (Term I learnt much later in my life) in the country. It was a Big Bike, err biggest and the most beautiful bike in the country which a teenager could own and show off and which could take you very fast, this was all it was for me back then! I kept her like a baby for 7 years and sold it off only when I started working and could afford another bike.
Let’s fast forward to Jan’16, else I can write pages and pages on my biking experiences (more on this later) from 2012 to 2016 when I had bought a new RE Thunderbird 350 (New Model – Worst decision of my life) after selling off my Karizma. So Jan’16, I bought a used 2012 Ninja 650. My first Big Bike, needless to say, I was in love with that beautiful curvaceous green figure…Took it to Kasauli, Agra and a lot of weekend rides. I was very happy with the performance and the level of comfort it offered simultaneously. I used it for close to 5 months and then sadly had to sell it off due to personal commitments.
We (Me and my Wife) then decided to save money for a year and then buy a new bike as she didn’t want us to take a loan. I had set the deadline for July’17 (My B’day). Now it was during this period that my wife came to the forefront and decided that no matter what, we will buy the bike, before the deadline. Whenever I thought it will not be possible, she induced confidence into me and urged me to keep moving on the set track.
Stay tuned for Part Two…
