    Default Yamaha R15 v3 ownership

    Hi,
I bought this motorbike on 15/03/2018
It is the thunder grey colour . From midnapore in west bengal .

Actually i did not booked the motorbike so when the first stock of 4 bikes came in our district (2 blue 2 grey) and 2 blue and 1 grey was already sold out ..
So i had no choise to choose so i bought that single thunder grey v3 😔 as the next stock will come after 1 months and i did not wanted to wait as i was not able to sleep for days ..thinking of the beautiful V3

Its ok the thunder grey is very very beatifull with its matte grey colour .... i love matte colours as it dont get scratch easily compared to the glossy paints ..

The first impression when i saw this bike on showroom was wow.... its so big .. and after the first look i suddenly fell in love with this bike .. i was so exicted that i didnt even heard that the staff member was calling me 😂

Its was kept beside the v2 .. and man v3 looks bigger and more beautiful then v2 ( well i also love v2 ..i love all yamaha bikes)

And i got the same day delivery as i paid in cash ...(buying in finance had to wait 1 -2 month ).

The first thing we notice in v3 is that it looks like a 1000 cc motorcycle ... if there wasnt stickers written "R15" no body would know that its a 150 cc bike 😂 .. and i am in love with the shape of v3 😶

After buying the bike i went to petrol pump to fill up .. and then the real fun starts .. every body was looking at me .. peoples were turing their heads 😶 as it was one of the first r15 v3 in our district ... the petrol guys were asking " kitna cc he?" "Kitna he iska price" ..

And then i return home and duing that time i felt like a celebrity 😂

V3 is very very beautiful motorbike ...
My favourate part is the tail section ...it looks like a baby R6 😍

The power is amazing it quickly accelarates .. the best performance it gives in 4th and 5th gears ..
It can easily reach 140kmph and i till now managed to reach 132 or something .. i felt like in 4th gear there is a little vibrations i dont know about that as it is my first bike and before that i havent rode or test drive a r15 ....

My weight is 58 kg i am a skinny boy 😛
And i fits perfectly on the v3 ..

Yes its my first bike ...and i never owned a motorcycle before ...

So in the first servicing i told that service guy that there is a vibration in lower gears ..
So he test drive it and told me that there is no vibrations ..

I dont know about i still feel some vibrations 😔

But its so little that it can be ignored 😀

The led head lights are amazing it looks like spider eyes in low beam . Like in kawasaki zx14r .. he he .. the high beams are not that wide but its better then any other stock headlights of any bike (excluding the dominar) .. its lights are 3 x brighter then the v2 in my openion .

The best thing of r15 is its handling ...
It handing is amazing .. i have ridden it to 1600 km till now 😛 he he i ride it everyday .
Actually i can ride it forever i dont want to get off the bike its so so awesome to ride as it handling is amazing and i feel like rossi ..lol
I am 5.6 and my feet hardly touch the ground ...but the center of gravity is so great
Of the v3 that i can easily sit and get off the bike... i had test ride the FZ250 and the rs200 but their center of gravity were not good compared to v3 .. my friend has ns160 ... and after riding my v3 and suddenly going on ns160 i felt like that the body balance of ns is not good..

Pillion seat is much more comfortable then the v2 ..yes i check in the showroom and compared both the v2 and v3

The tail section looks very sexy from behind .. i removed the rear tyre hugger so it makes the rear ends looks more agressive and bigger the led tail lights are like R6 ..

The windscreen is more praticle now ..
Its surely deflects the wind and its more aerodynamic.
The digital console has enough information that we need ... and its big and bright enough to see comfortably ..

Its exhausts sound is also great .. its way better then the pulsar rs200 or the ktm sound... its rough and loud ..

Coming to the milage .. the reading on the console says 52 kmpl i dont know how correct is that i will check later..

Its 9:35 a.m now .. and as i am writing this post ..i feel like i want to go on a short ride on my v3 🙂
I cant resists the feeling of riding ..it like a drug to me ... i am 21 years old college boy .and my r15 v3 is my girl friend .. i have lots of photos of her in my phone and i always think of my bike 😍 day and night ...
I like to keep her clean .. and i have this urge or something that i always want to keep my bike clean and shine .. i start my day by giving my bike a quick looks .. and clean the dusts from the tank , windscreen and the rear tail section ..

Well i am new to xbhp ...and this is my 2nd post ... (first is my intro in the intro forum)

I know this review is very bad and poorly written ..and there are no photos ...as i coudnt find the options or buttons to include photo ..

Sorry for the poor review ...and thanks for reading ... bye

First of all, Congratulations on your new ride. Go through the Owners manual properly and make sure to breakin in the bike safely. Dont get too excited. Also upload some pics.

clean the dusts from the tank , windscreen and the rear tail section .. If you are dry wiping the dust then you are scratching the paint. Keep this in mind. If you dont wanna any scratches on the paint you will have to wash the bike with water and car shampoo.

Yes i told the servicing guy during the 1st service about the vibration... but he said everything is fine ..and the bike has no problem ...

Oo.. and thank you for guiding me about scratches . I will not use cloth now to clean dust ..
I dont have any shed to keep the bike .. i just have a bike cover ... and i hate when there is dust particles on my bike so i cant resist myself to clean it ..

So how often should i wash it?
