You can DIY the harness or buy one from Hella for 500~600/- relay included. I'm using the Hella harness on my P220.

Did anyone try putting a flat slide carb? the stock bikes come with cv carbs, which are good for normal purpose, but I wanted some more punch. My rx 135 runs on flats and the feed back is more lively than the pulsar.

Motorcycle would run like a dying dog at low revs and steady throttle input.

Plus you can't crack open the throttle as motorcycle would bog down.

Flat and Round Slides run well on 2T's and small displacement 4T's, but not so much on anything over 125cc.

I've gone with round slide on my ZMA, if you're into experimenting you could give it a shot and let us know.

    Default My 5th Pulsar

    Hello all,
    My short Story:
I wanted to buy a commuter bike for work and city commute. My 200ns was lacked comfort. It made me feel tired by the time i reached my destination. And with just avg of 30+ kmpl i was strongly convinced to buy a commuter bike. I did lots of research and concluded shine sp 125 ticked all my boxes. The onroad was close to Rs 80000. But then i had a thot of considering a second hand bike. I looked for cheap deals. Suzuki gs150r 6 gear was tempting. But suzuki spares were expensive. And also the spares might be difficult to source. So came pulsar 150, but i was clear on prefering ug2 model with silver alloy and silver engine. As thats the only pulsar 150 i liked in terms of looks. Simple and not so edgy and pointy design. Silver alloys and silver engine And love for the analog meter.

Luckily i found a pulsar 150 ug2 2005 single owner genuine 58k kms. The bike was kept in basement and for past 8 years it barely run 100km a year. The condition was very good for 14 year old bike. Not even once was the insurance lapsed, maintained timely. All work done only in bajaj svc center. New battery amaron put a 6mths back and insurance valid for another 10months.

Now coming to the repair required on the bike. It badly required new set of tyres. Engine oil and clutch plate as the gear was too hard. Front and rear tyre were jammed. Exhaust was rusted. And as usual routine service. One good thing i find about such bike is the spares are pretty cheap.

The bike costed me 8.7k and 3.3k for tyres, 1.2k for 2nd hand silencer. 1k for complete clutch set and 400 for oil +500 for service.
Ofcoz there are few other small expenses like airfilter and break pad. But all in all my total expenditure has been 16000 including the bike cost and maintenance.

Now coming to the result. After all this repair, the bike has become unbelivable smooth. The gears are precise the suspension is perfect as i wanted. The bike glides, and behaves as if i just got it from showroom. The avg i get is easily 50kmpl. And top speed of 110kmph with pillion. I feel very happy that i opted for this bike wich has more of character and personality than the current commuter bikes and at such a price.
