    It may have problem with carbon in self start cylinder.

    will changing the rocker set
    or tightning the tappets
    make sound of engine more smooth??

    Do not tighten tappets set it to the specified clearance only. No need of changing rockers if they aren't worn out.

    Hello folks,

    any suggessions for reducing the height of hero honda cbz extreme 2012?. The height is a real problem bcoz i am somewhat short person, also any ways to reduce the handle vibrations?

    i think local mechanic is correct. as it clocked 82k km may be the cylinder lost its shape...there will be no problem for daily commuting... when rev it above 80 kmph speed it may behave abnormal....

    Hi guys,

    I need your help with this issue on my xtreme. I ride a 2010 xtreme and clocked around 50,000 KM on it. Recently the battery went kaput and I have been using kick start ever since. This is the original battery that came with the bike. As expected there is no horn, indicators or proper headlight without the battery. I plan on getting the battery replaced later this week.

    I got the oil changed around 200Kms back. I find this strange starting problem. When I kick start (using choke) the bike, the engine fires up. It idles properly for a few mins, when I sit on the bike (after unchoking) , slot it into gear and move forward it dies all of a sudden. After that no amount of kicks can start the engine.

    This evening, I decided to take a closer look. I removed the seat and inspected the air filter, it was fairly clean. I turned the handle and kicked it, the bike started without any fuss. I did not even use the choke. After I idled the bike, I turned the handle bar, the engine died. I noticed this a couple of time. Anyone else facing this issue ? What is the solution.
