I don't wanna start a debate, but the kill switch is given for quick operation at signals etc.The purpose is not to run the self diagnosis check for Fi, radiator fan, etc.everytime, just the ignition on&off.
We had a long discussion on this in the R15 thread as well.
If anyone is thinking about the parking lamp, well, it hardly consumes power being DC electricals type.
The kill switch is given to be used, period.

Like in my RTR FI, the pump activates everytime the bike is switched on, but in case of both, ignition and engine kill switch both.

What's the purpose of the engine kill switch if it is not to be used?
It's there to avoid re-initialization and self test of all the electricals at every time when the bike is started. With the key the same would happen everytime.

Bike manufacturers would not be fools to give that switch and they know way more than we do coz they specialize in what they do and we specialize in what we do!

+1, The name itself says Engine Kill switch then why expend more energy going till the console to switch off the bike.
It is a option given to immediately switch off the engine on red lights and help GOVERNMENT SAVE MONEY

the kill switch helps reduce the wear and tear of the main ignition switch also.

Picked it up on Thursday around 4 pm. On the very next day , Friday, went for a ride to Kolhapur. So far have done about 600 km on the odo. Will post my ownership experience in later post. For now, here are some pics.

Wow! You got my pulse racing again. I needed that, especially since I am on day 93 of my waiting period. You got a sexy number too. Surprised you did'nt have the number plate removed??

The kill switch is a mandate. It has to be put in near the throttle at the exact same position by all the manufacturers. The kill switch is a MANDATE.
Hence one cannot conclude that the kill switch is given by the manufacturers to be used. Period.

The same ShOULD happen everytime. No need to by-pass the tests.

Nothing on the bike is provided cause someone were a fool and someone werent. The kill switch has its own job to do. It kills the engine in an emergency. The button is 'RED' in colour for a reason. All emergency buttons are 'RED' in colour for a reason. Some bikes have ignition key slots in the wierdest possible position where a rider may not be able to reach for in emergency situations. Hence the kill switch mandate. If you ever get stuck in a slide you will find out that you don't have time to turn the damn key off cause you are gonna be kinda busy there for a while trying to save your skin. It is also there for moments where you may have your throttle stick wide open on you. This does happen.

You can use the side stand switch to avoid wear and tear of the kill switch

Thanks. Not many saw it.

I will soon write my ownership report. Right now stuck in office. Please stay tuned. It will chronicle a very interesting incident related to the Ninja , which all Ninja owners should know.

Hint : I left for Kolhapur on Friday morning from Pune, but I wouldnt return back to Pune until Sunday afternoon.
