  • Totally agree, i mean to think that we can't even use 60% of the 250R's abilities (handling, performance, top speed etc etc). I am totally satified with the bike. Its worth more than 3 lakhs to me now. I mean beating a BMW 3 series or an Audi A4 on the highway priceless (except for the top whack that is) & at 10% the cost. Could'nt ask for a better deal.

To the guys comparing an R15 to a Ninja on handling

The R15 cannot hold a candle to the Ninja's handling, straight line stability etc. The R15 might be quicker on a series of sharp quick corners but everywhere else its second best.

i beg to differ slightly on that. The delta box chassis of the R15 does make for a more responsive bike as compared to the Ninja with its standard twin spar chassis.

Stability, yes ill give it to the ninja, but the immense flickability of the R15 due to its light weight and proportion does make it a worthy match in traffic.

On a open track, or windy roads, yup the ninja will rule, but you cant keep the R15 out of the picture.

Ps - i own both bikes so i have a hands on experience on both.

+1 on that. The R15 is lighter by around 40 kilo's and i've seen people flick the bike around in traffic and ride zig-zag. Not possible with the ninja and I wont try it anyday.

P.S. jd - the link on your signature for the ninja on sale is incorrect and is leading to an older ad.

Did you buy this Moto2 exhaust for your Ninja? If yes, i hope you can share some feedback about the sound compared to the M4. The M4 retails for approx. 500 USD + shipping.
I am planning one, buddy from canada sold his two brother exhaust for this.Thought will share it with u guys.waiting for his upload on youtube. supposedly makes 250 sound like a 600cc motor..his words!!Its called motorwerkz power cone!!

                  Its correct now.

BTW, Mr. Seshardi called me from the Probiking Center, Blore and guess what??? The waiting period on the ninja is only 4 days now. AWESOME for someone who wants it real bad.

Guys...came across this video stating its a Two Brothers on R6 but there's a huge difference in the sound w.r.t. the Ninja sound...any idea which exhaust sound comes closer to this one on a Ninja 250R...?

                    Cheers...

To be honest, NONE actually. The sound you here from the video is from an inline four engine. Impossible for a twin cylinder engine to sound that way.

The best you can get from the ninja is a deep bassy note... like the end can's on pulsar's and splendor's... only slightly better. The clatter of the 2 cylinders will be more audible though and can sound like a dirt bike at high revv's.

                        yep
The r15 is a potent cornering tool. It has way more feedback in corners thanks to its chasis and way more front feedback under heavy braking.
Brakes on the Ninja are typical Kawasaki...fcukin strong ...both to stop u and to make u crash

R15 fits better in the definition of a sports bike than the Ninja, handling wise. Performance wise the R15 bites the dust ( only when compared to the Ninja...its gonna smoke anything else)

Amod...you will NEVER get that kinda sound from the Ninja 250R like n_aditya said...no matter what u do to the bike.
You will get that kind of sound ONLY from an inline 4. I4s are famous for their hum.

you have absolutely no idea what Tenhut's blade ACTUALLY sounds like... as they would say in the matrix..."you gotta hear it yourself"

But then we also have to consider 250R's weight compared to R15.

and even in our desi tracks 250R has significantly lower timings

How is the front brake lever feel comparing both?

If you have to stitch corners after corners in a mountain road(you can't go above 60), what would you pick?
