Couple of questions - 1) has the FI light come on? 2) Does the behavior happen at a particular speed or a particular rpm?

I had the same trouble but it happened if I held the RPM constant at 3-4 Krpm... in my case they replaced the throttle sensor under warranty (took 3-4 days to source the part, costs about 15-18K). I'd suggest you get the PBK guys to sort it out soon and use the warranty...

i think ninja has a 3 year/40,000 kms warranty ? unless anyone has done enough mods to void the warranty.

I could be wrong, but I think its 2 years / 30,000 kms warranty period.

        • got the problem fixed..the hole under the tank lid which drains the water entering the tank was chocked. Some air pressure sorted that out. Emptied the fuel in the tank & threw the last 2 litres which had water mixed with the fuel.

              • Finished my 3rd scheduled service on the Ninja (at 11,000 kms). The service staff apparently changed/topped-up the fork oil. However, it now seems to me that the ride quality has somehow gone down. The front feels a lot bumpier.

Any idea what might be going on?

check your front tyre air pressure and adjust a little. other option are all with PBK, that,s they have filled more oil than what is required, the forks will be hard. better to have a PBK check.

I can guess what is going on - This is a classic example of the technical (in)ability of the service staff getting exposed bigtime!

Sounds too early for a fork oil topup!! Anyways, if I'm not wrong, it takes some kms before the stiffness disappears. I faced some stiffness when I got the fork oil changed on my R15. But it vanished after a hundred kms.

Also, since they changed the fork oil, it could also be due to a loose steering (nut), if you feel some looseness on the front when just entering a pothole/ hump?
I had this issue until Friday, but got the steering tightened in yesterday's service of my R15. Its perfecto now.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                        COULD be Excess fork oil.
