i had a query guys.. wat mileage does the ninja give during running in..? i got bout 16kmpl from full tank to full tank.. any1 got anything better?

Well I drove it back from Pune to thane. The guys at shirode auto claimed they filled in four litres, but the low fuel light was on so I guess it was less than that. I filled in 500 bucks of power ( about 10 litres) I topped up the tank at Panvel ( 9 litres) , so as per my calculations it was 4+10+9 = 23 minus 17 litres capacity and I did around 170 kms, swo I guess I got around 27 or so.

Dude ur bike is in engine run in phase. You cant possibly get an average as low as 16kmpl dude

Riding at 60kmph in 6th gear at 4k RPM has gotten me 30 +
              U sure u got 16 ?

                      yup...its simple..
                      you have two options
                      1) Just remove that white plate on which the number is written. ( as seen in the cornering pic below )
                      2) Remove the black number plate support which runs out of the base of the mirror.( as seen in the poser pic below )

Option 1 requires removing 2 Screws.
Option 2 requires removing the fairing and the mirrors.

I dont think PBK guys will have tough time doing it the first way. So I am assuming u want to remove the black number plate support too.

Remove fairing to unscrew the mirrors from inside-> remove the black number plate support -> put the fairing and the mirrors back on again.

Start touring... You guys will hit a point where your butt will start irritating so much that you can't take it any longer. Don't give up, try to seat yourself in different positions to make yourself comfortable. And then you'll understand what (technique) it takes to sit on the saddle for that long. Its not that difficult, I say!

                        • Dont ask the PBK showroom people to remove the number plate, unless you are sure they have done it before. Otherwise they will be experimenting thoroughly on your bike. I have still not gotten it removed. I intend doing it myself.

Anyone having any info on rollers ( fairing guards) for this bike?
