It is the most difficult time in the rain, when a bike or car splashes you with his rear mud flap less tire.

      • Nice! Are you getting it from Chandigarh? I read somewhere that is the cheapest place to get a Ninja on road... Btw, Bangalore is the most expensive!

This is really unfair to the bangloreans. Thats a tax orgy ! Are the roads in banglore that good too ? Someone say yes !!!

did you get the frame sliders installed? if yes, pics pls.
and pics on a open road would do justice....

                Congrats once again....

@jd666-- how would you rate the handling vis a vis with the R15?(cosidering she is 150 & hence lighter) and does the frame have any impact on handling? as R15 has the same frame mould as SBK's but the Ninja doesn't, why?(below tank the weld & the huge thick bar, do they have any say in handling?)
The ninja is much more better to grab, especially around the tank. So it feels much more the sports bike. Though the R15 is more fun to flick in traffic. Also having a 3 lakh bike discourages that much flicking about!!!

Both bikes have good handling, though the pull of the ninja, and the confidence the braking inspires, is much better.

From a future owners point of view (might just grab the baby in coming march), can some one shed lights on factors like how much exactly do i need to spend on a monthly basis ?

For example, let me say I make a downpayment of 1.5 Lakhs and remaining loan (I stay in hyderabad, not yet sure of on-road price here).

How much would be the Emi and coming to maintenance,

I desperately needs to know the cost of spare parts for the ninja. Some one please post prices of as many parts as possible. (owned two karizmas in the past, considering they are of best quality i often had to change spare parts within a matter of months)

I am pretty sure there are no free services, so how much does one needs to shed out every time we walk in for refreshments?

Overall, need a report card on after purchase expenses

PS : I have posted the same issue on one of the other threads, posting it here as this looks like a more apt place. Mods, please dont mind.
posted some pricing. The oil change interval is 1000-6000-and then every 12,000! kms, so oil change and filter are not gonna be that expensive overall. Though for indian riding conditions i would recommend changing it at a much frequent interval.

Also the brake pads are like 1500 bucks, which should last you atleast 10,000 kms before a change.

The chain needs cleaning and lubing every 600 kms, that needs to be taken care of.

If you crash, the side panel is about 15-16k.

the other concern is the mileage, and cost of running. which would mainly add to your expense. Hope this was of some help.

                    • dual front discs with 2/3-piston brembo calipers? is it even possible to stop on two wheels?

also now i've decided what color mine will be, kawasaki india should seriously consider bringing their other colors like blue and red, and down the line some custom options as well.

I feel the comparison is a little unfair on the R15

then you will love the ninja at any rpm above 4000! because of the double cylinder and higher cc. i opened her up once to about 9000+ rpm, and it was pure bliss!!!

so do i, but the closest comparo is the R15s power delivery.

@Hyperion-- relatively speaking, compare-- no way...

@jd666-- don't know why guys complain of sluggishness below 4-5K, which sportsbike performs or spools under 5k?none...

i like motorcycles to be revvy and the power to be there in the upper regions say after 13k, the high you get revving at that point and bringing out all the horses in incomparable...
thanks for the encouraging words and she being an inline is a joy..
