He was puzzled and looked away, avoiding eye contact. I almost confronted him and just then the lights went green.

Came home and inspected the bike thoroughly for fingerprints, scratches, etc. and luckily there were none. Only after a few rides and maybe a month or so, i figured its the fuel in the tank that was making the bike waltz.
Ah the waltz...dancing with the angel! Sweet memories

@Adi - checked out the 2011 cbr 600 and the R6 today. Have my heart set on the 848 evo though...big price difference but bigger maintenance cost difference. What say you? 600's or the 848?

      When in doubt.... buy both.

Seriously, get the duc. Its an experience of a lifetime. And if you still want an inline four, get a used cbr600. There are plenty of used ones which are as good as new out there.

@hyperion - Nice video... the ninja was a tiny speck in no time

As Bluevolt said, the bike sways noticeably if fuel tank is full. As fuel level goes down, it is not noticeable. I was puzzled because of swaying for a full month, then found out the reason

            [QUOTE=Merlion;715093]Congratulations, navish07 on your ninja.

Thanks Bluevolt, Vishwas Ji and others..
The Shaking has almost died now after riding some 150 kms after tank-full.

Also I am witnessing a feeble pungent smell down the fairing while riding. Did anyone of you guys faced this..?

Apart from these, the bike is driving me nuts. The bike's response has been as good as mine.. Amazing piece of work..!!

            Cheerio..

I too face the same on my Ninja, from my understanding it is normal. It's the smell emitted from the heated cylinder parts (could be from the radiator too) of the bike when water falls on it. The pungent smell is due to the mud and soil which gets deposited on it. All you got to do is clean the area. If you identify it as from the radiator, take extra cautious while cleaning it. You don't want to ruin the radiator fins.

Last but not the least, some plastic material has got stuck on to the cylinder and it's burning when the cylinder gets heated while running.

**Don't be the judge of it from what I said before more experienced riders comments on it further.

              • The smell is normal (as long as it is a metalic + plastic sort of a smell and not something else) Clean your bike for dirt and any insectes remains with water.

Guys I ordered a key ring for my Ninja...
Its from a website called zoomin where we can design our own keyring and they will print and ship it to your door step
The material is all Fiber so no problems of getting scratches on the clip-ons

I just checked PlanetDSG website and found these levers for the Ninja 250R.... any reviews on these Please???

                  • ^^^ the levers look very similar to pazzo shortys. the original prices of both the brands levers are around the same except the prices of kraftewerk levers are reduced by almost 6000rs! which makes me very suspicious of the quality. they're also not popular (due to their lack of presence in biking forums and blogs) so i'd be cautious

pazzo's all the way for me (asv's are equally good but dont offer as many colour options)

Something I've noticed a couple of times before... my Ninja seems to invite the attention of a lot of bugs, especially green ones, for some reason

Saw it a bunch of times and finally decided I just had to run up the stairs, fetch the camera and get me a couple of pictures. Here's some pictures of Ambassador Mantis posing for the paparazzi :P

Looks like a little ninja himself, don't he!

                      • Is there someone in Chennai who can see whether a 250R which is put on sale costing approx Rs.1.5L is worth it or not?
                        Thanks

                              • Ninja replacement Chain

Need to convey some news to all ninja owners.

As I had mentioned some pages earlier, ninja chain costs about 7,000 bucks. The specs given by Kawasaki are - Enuma chain EK 520SR - O2 - 106 links.

However, after searching around on EK Motorcycle & ATV Chain, I was unable to find the O2 variant.

I found this price atrocious so started hunting around for an alternative. Found that all the alternates abroad also cost equivalent. So started a hunt in India. Found out that no one manufactures similar chain in India.

However, found out a good quality manufacturer - ROLON - L.G.Balakrishnan & Bros Ltd.

The company name is L.G. Balakrishnan & bros Ltd. They are No. 1 OEM supplier of Drive Chains with 70% market share and around 50% in the Replacement market. They have 6 factories in India and 5 offices out of India.

Spoke with a guy in LGB's Pune branch. He was extremely friendly and promised to enquire with Head Office and call me back once he gets any concrete information. In the mean time, he suggested that in case of emergency, I can use Karizma chain by removing some links. It has exact same pitch, pin dia etc.

Today received a SMS and call from him that the R & D of his company has manufactured two pc. of x ring chains and they have been despatched to Pune. Quadra X-Ring design increases chain life from 1.5 to 2 times longer than a standard O-Ring chain.

These chains should reach Pune latest by Friday.

                                The MRP - Rs.1880/-

So if someone is in the market for a replacement chain, he knows where to head for
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
