No one is complaining about the Ninja; if you are referring to Tenhut's post that was sarcasm. And so is mine a few posts below that.
@Sheelpriye - In most industrial products, the cost of production is not proportional to retail price or perceived consumer value. So making a 250cc is NOT 1/4 the cost of a 1000 cc motorbike. People are forgetting that Bajaj is also assembling the bike here so there are labor and overheads costs involved since a separate production line is engaged - 'profit' is not the only thing in this business.
This is an ownership thread, so please leave it for exactly that. Thanks.

Whoever thinks that Ninja is expensive, has an option of not buying it. No one is forcing you to buy it.
In fact, I had nearly cancelled my plans of buying a ninja on hearing the price. Only because my wife supported me, I went ahead and bought it.
I bought this bike as my sole transport every day. Tenhut has bought this bike for a completely different reason. Tenhut and I have often spoken about this and we both feel that this bike is worth every rupee.
We both have our opinions about its quality, performance, service quality etc. but all these terms are relative and should not be compared with any other bike. If you want to compare it , please do it with HH CD Dawn and/or busa.
Fuel Economy :
I normally check fuel economy on every tankful. Currently I am getting fuel economy around 25kmpl for city riding. What about others?
I know that a typical Ninja owner is not much bothered about the fuel economy but you can keep a track of your engine condition by regularly checking average. That is why I do it.Last edited by trustvishwas; 01-15-2010, 06:15 PM.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Ahem! I agree with the owners, I always felt it was worth every rupee for the Indian context, but will not state my reasons so as to not reinstate the OT discussion!
Coming back to the real thing, can anyone please reply to my post here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post361233
Also, does BAL order any other accessories or stuff if you are ready to pay them in advance for it?
Last question (for today): How is the spares supply? Atleast wear&tear items? If some owner has a crash, do they have the fairing, headlamp etc.parts also ready or do they order for it? If ordering, then how long does it take?
Thanks.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Chill man, please. I know you are angry over some people but please thats not the way to talk to a fellow xBhpian, maybe he didnt understand the sarcasm in that post. The best thing is to ignore some posts and a few members who ignite the fire and then useless discussion continues over pages. Let people harp about prices etc we are interested in ownership reviews and nothing else so PLEASE GUYS stop this discussion over Bajaj looting people and all.
People buy anything with their hard earned money and one shouldnt question them about their decision.
Tenhut,
calm down bro. We need good info posts about Ninja from you, not such posts full of hatred and anger.

i pity the 250R owners....look what their ownership thread has turned out to be...i was enjoying 250R owners experiences and fun...some ppl had to spoil it...i think its better to fight abt the price in the Ninja thread in the news section ....everyone had been arguing over there anyway or start a new thread!,leave this place alone!Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

Time to wake up!Stop this ownership thread from turning into a warzone!
@Tenhut
You should not lash out on Renny you dont have any right to do that!
He is expressing his own view if you are offended by it then ignore it!
Its your money its your bike,be happy with it!

@sarvajit - the R15 paddock stand wont fit the ninja, because its not as wide as the stand for the ninja. I have tried this with my friend's stand.
And lets please stick to ownership experiences etc. Start a new thread if you wanna compare the ninja to anything else.

I wish I could get my bike delivered today so that I could write an ownership review and finish this mess. Unfortunately no new Ninjas have been delivered in the past few weeks, hence our fellow bikers have had nothing new to discuss. As they say Empty Mind is a Devil's Workshop.
Therefore, I will imagine that I have got my Ninja delivered todayand will share what I did with it.
First I got my front number plate and headlight removed, because I wanted it to look like a true racetrack devil.
I had just reached MG Road when I saw this hot girl riding a Red Ninja.
I followed her for around 20 kms, however when we reached her place and she took her helmet off…. I found it was a dude.
Now if you guys… want me to continue with my imaginative, topic changing bullc**p …. I will.
However, I am sure none of you would want me too…. But if I see this thread turn into a warzone again… I definitely will… and believe me it would be worse than above.
PS: Don't kick me out of xbhp ... please.sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja.. I feel like Superman.

And apart from the seat cover, nothing else seems to be available as add-ons.
