I too was planning for one such trip, but would be going there later ... While browsing I found out this shop which sells auto accessories ..

Motorcycle 3000, Dune Center (Ground Floor), Al Dhiyafa Street, Dubai
Check this shop out and let us know. I guess they should be selling AGV Helmets and more.
    Enjoy & have a Safe trip !!

    • First Post!

Hey guys I'm Neal and this is my very first post on the xbhp forums.
I've been following this thread for a long time now, and felt like it was time to finally post something.

I have booked a Ninja 250 on 3rd November 2009 and will be getting the delivery, hopefully, by this February end.

The thing is I'm going to Phuket, Thailand, for a 6 day vacation starting from 8th Feb and thought I'd buy some accessories for my baby while I'm there . So, I was wondering if any of you guys know of any shop from where I can pick up the following:

      1. Yoshimura CF exhaust
      2. B2 Industries fender eliminator and
      3. a rear tyre hugger

      Thanks.

      • I just checked at Pune PBK workshop today. One side fairing of Ninja costs 8748 and not 16k+ as discussed earlier in this thread.

Is that the cost for the entire fairing of one side? I believe its made up of 3 individual parts, if its 8748, thn i really wn't care about crash bobbins on mine

The cost must be for the one piece lower fairing. The headlight/windscreen casing must be separate.

And I had my first Ninja puncture today! I always wonder how long nails on the road manage to get into tyres perfectly straight.

Fixed with a puncture repair kit at Khivraj since I was in that area.

Are you planning to put that green slime (whatever they call it) in to your tyres before the trip? I am talking about the liquid which will seal the puncture.

I have a bottle of slime with me, but it has been lying around for some time, is there a expiry date or something for things like these?

I would presume there is, would be best to get a fresh one.
They have now started selling them in India and charge approx 700 per tyre.

Not sure who in Bangalore is the dealer.

As you pointed out, there are total 3 parts - One part incorporating headlights etc. and two parts on either side of the bike. The price quoted for a side fairing.

                        • Speedometer worm gear lubrication

After I came back from Pondicherry, I began to hear a low chiming sound (like some parts rubbing with each other) coming from the bike at slow speeds. At first I thought it was the disc pads or the bearings, but the culprit turned out to be the worm gear assembly. (The guys at Khivraj found that out.)

So they had to take off the front tyre using a center+rear paddock stand and then lubricate the speedometer gear housing. Noise gone!

So if you have a similar sound coming from your Ninja, you know what to do!

                            • my ninja was making this sound between 8k-9k rpm a while ago. The ninja mechanics could not figure out the problem for 1.5 hours. Finally 1 mechanic figured that it was the clutch lever that had too much play & was moving around @ 8k. Just tightened the lever & now the sound is gone. Also fixed the swing arm sliders & handle bar sliders today. Will fix the frame sliders on monday & then post all the pics along with the fender eliminator.

                              • dear riders, this quest may look stupid , but im tempting to ask this from the owners of ninja.

IS THE KARIZMA-R ANYWHERE COMPARABLE TO NINJA??? I MEAN IN ANY DEPARTMENT DOES ZMA-R CAN STAND IN FRONT OF NINJA.

IS KARIZMA-R TOO A RESPECTABLE BIKE TO OWN LIKE A NINJA???
