getting a sub 800cc international sports bike is a bit of a problem in this country!! The only way Ducati 848 made it in was because it's technically 848 > 800

The law mentions about the Cubic Capacity of the bikes, but it does not look at the power deliver the bike makes.... and that's why we have a Ducati 848 which makes a true 130 bhp and we are not having Ninja ZX6r which also makes a 130bhp!!

That's why i said I'm not sure how far this is true. I told what i got to know from PBK. I was enquiring about P220 and then the discussion went about this topic and he told.

Does anybody know Pune's status on delivery? Bikes are there awaiting registration. Did anybody received the bike lately? I am told to call on Friday to check the status of registration

How i wish i could keep the bike . I am planning to buy the gsxr 1000 ,and thers no way my wife would allow me to keep both the bikes

I don't know abt the ZX-6R, however I had asked the PBK Manager here, and he said the 650R would be launched as a CBU, hence the price would include the hefty customs. As of now 250R would be the only CKD.

if the zx6R has to be launched as a CBU or a ckd, it will have to go thru a homologation process with arai, which means it will be quite expensive for the company to launch. bikes above 800cc do not need the homologation process, so its easier for companies to import and sell bikes 1000cc and higher, paying the direct customs on the vehicles.

Thanks bro.... Have been occupied if office... All the riding I am doing is after 10.30 pm to 12 am in the night... Have clocked 130+ kms in 2 nights.

Have to work tomorrow too.... Hopefully Sunday would be a better day.

You have to maintain below 4K RPM right???? So how you cloked 130+??? I was able to do only 60kmph (max) within the range of 4K RPM.....
