Sanjaysweden, not to let you down, but in future posts, please be clear and a little bit sensuous in what you write, it hardly makes sense.

From what I read your bike has autochoke problems and the battery problem.

Now I don't know if you know this or not, the Pulsar 220 DTSi has an auto-choke feature, instead of us using a choke manually, it is built into the carburettor. So yes, early morning or whenever you stop the bike for sometime in colder areas, the the bike will use it's auto choke for say close to 40 seconds something, and then will return to normal idle speed. This is a feature not a problem of the bike.

But if you are aware of this feature and still the auto-choke gets on during riding, then your auto choke fitment needs to checked.

The sound "tick tick" sound you are hearing from is the starter coil, next to the battery. Check if you battery is low in charge, if yes recharge it.

This is the best I can answer from your question. Please be a little more specific when you ask questions next time

Hey congrats bro. Motul's a god-given prasad for us bikers!

Keep riding and ride safe! Wear a helmet, no matter what your drive!

Get the carburetor, tank, fuel cock cleaned. Problem solved. After tank goes dry, it needs min 1/2 litres to start.

@B7ACKTHORN: This thing isn't occuring due to autochoke. When I had it, the mechanic cleaned the carb n jets, done!!

Default 2 questions I would like to know as curious

Hi friends today I completed 4000 km well yeah dam exciting adventure it was to reach till this point. The questions which I would like to know is:1. How is amaron battery is it worth spending 1700rs. As its a pain getting the water battery check every now and then.2. As u all know that I have been using mineral oil i.e. Moto 4 gold 20w50 by elf. Well after reading your cool and good revives about motul oil should I get it changed as I had my service done at 3800km as the power and the efficiency had really gone down. Right now I am getting like 40 km/hrs after getting it serviced. Well if suppose I change the oil to motul at 4500 km so that I can take it to 10000 km as precribed by the company for getting it serviced during that time well is there any important things which have to be seen in motul and also I will be going for 15w50 oil. Will I get the same millage? Or it will improve with time. Also when motul will be there in the engine I hope the dame sensor does not go on indicating that it is not a rEcomanded oil for our lovely bike. As seen it somewhere some one was saying on the forum. I shall await your replies on this.Ps: newer go for any anti theft security system on 220 as these people make a fool of u when I had gone before he installing asked him what all r u going to do he just showed me the clips and said they will go here and there I said dude leave it I don't want to spoil my bike and also got a very good feedback from bagga link pbk today regarding theft security system he actually brushed me for not to go as our machine are really smart any wire cut or tampered something will go wrong somewhere. man I am saved for spending this money. Guys shall await your replied on the above matter at the earliest. Thanx your friend Arjun

    Congrats on your 4K part.

To your query, Amaron is an excellent battery, I can vouch for its performance personally. I replaced that in my car from Standard Furukawa, and going on strong for three years, not a single glitch, no topping up, no nothing, complete peace of mind.

Now our member Krish has the same battery in his bike, and just yesterday were were talking about the battery experience. So he can give you some thoughts as well.

Every battery needs water, it's not just you buy a battery and forget it. The stock EXIDE which comes with the bike too is maintenance free, been in the bike for 2.5 years, no glitch whatsoever. But when time comes for a change, it's Amaron.

Motul 5100 15w50 semi syn and 7100 fully syn 20w50 are some of the best oils you can use for the 220. Now, SS and FS can easily last 5k to 6k without any hassles, especially Motul. So you can go ahead and get it changed the next time.

Mileage not only depends on the oil alone, yes it's a significant part, but then there is a lot of things at play in the mileage part. Yes it improves the mileage.

There isn't a sensor in the P220 which says which says you shouldn't use so and so oil. The only sensor the bike has is a low oil sensor, which will go on only when the oil sensors senses that the engine is low in oil, irrespective of what oil you use. So that's a pretty funny question

Anti theft, I've answered a lot of queries on this one. To put it simple, it's a useless investment installing the anti-theft alarm/security. Plus, you need to strip the wires in some significant places, which is a hassle too. Plus the 220s is a very intelligent when it comes to wiring, any glitches in the wiring part, you'll have to pay the price in the middle of nowhere. So better go for disc locks, which are good too.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers!
