Gear oil seals can be replaced very easily and cost less than 10 bucks, that's not a problem, if it still does, change them.

Clusmy piston job is the main reason for oil consumption, plus the oil leaking near the gearbox too will reduce the oil level, both are prime factors. First change the gear oil seal, replace the engine oil and see how it fares, it might be because of the leaking gearbox oil seal. Next up, if the bike consumes oil even after the GBOS replacement, then you need to consider a head job.

Good hands are rare here, as what I have found!
Anyways, will change the svc. Till now the svc where I gave my bike for service and repairs has lost its dealership licence and that leaves only one dealer/svc to go to, as per the bajaj website. Can imagine the rush of bikes! People say they queue from 7am to make the entry even for minor jobs!

I have already replaced the gear seal once but it failed again within 3k kms. Its the block piston consuming oil. Will change the the set for some peace of mind (or whatever they offer).
Lets see if speaking with the service manager does work!

It may be good for an R15 engine but for our 220 it doesn't hold well like the motul oils.
True that, at least ours guy gets heated up pretty fast. But you're right, Motul is the bloodline of our steeds, and that's why I always advocate the use of 5100 affordable and best performance.

Oh forgive me vickks, didn't see your post, yea keep us posted.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

    "Loose Gear"

Ask the mechanic to tight / fix it.
Happens with me too and I ask the same to mechanic and then the gear shift is awesome.

Does not voids warranty but yes you might not get the Free service if free service is still left.

But yes you can recall the time when they sent you back and argue for the free service if they try to act smart on that.

Had left the bike on side stand for about 45mins later dad informed bikes leaking petrol ....
the angle of lean was more then usual after 45mins found out fuel leaking from the crab drain pipe ,about 200ml of petrol had already spelt before I noticed:O later when I parked the bike on level land the leaking stopped...if it was left unnoticed tank would be empty by morning
