Clubman handle bar would be nice man.. good idea...
Not aggressive like the 220F to attack but like a tammed wolf, capable of aggression but likes to flow with the road.
It would be really fun making a cafe racer out of it, Avenger has the qualities to be made into a cafe racer.
We just need to bring the foot pegs to standard position, with some minor bodywork with it's back part, a nice fabricated seat and handle bar.
Now the question is how, I hope we both find our answer.
Happy Riding till then mate.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
hi,
its easy to install fancy items in Avneger but think of environment and people around you.
Government is struggling to reduce emissions by banning BS3 vehicle, so adding free flow after market exhaust will create pollution and noise.
Why people want to irritate others by making noise out of calm engine?
I hate Bullets for their Ugly noise. Girls like calm and comfortable bikes first.
Avenger is a bike for matured riders who want to enjoy the long trips without disturbing anyone.Last edited by Golden Cat; 03-31-2017, 02:06 PM.

Engine Oil for Avenger 220
Hi Guys,
After a lot of discussion on this forum about 1 year back, I had purchased this wonderful bike called "Avenger Street 220".
The bike has been a delight to ride for the 9600+ kms ridden so far.
Now, since all the 3 free services are over, I am not very keen to give my next (paid) service to a Bajaj Authorised Service center.
However, I am not able to make up my mind on which engine oil to use.
Your help would be very much appreciated.
I could see a lot of people suggesting Motul 5100 for Avengers.
But I have 2 doubts on this:
1. Motul 5100 is 15w50 whereas the Avenger manual mentions to use 20w50. Doesn't this make a difference?
2. The Motul 5100 oil comes in 1L container whereas the quantity required for Avenger 220 is 1.15L. Again, does the difference of 0.15l really matters?
Any other suggesting is welcome.

Motul 5100 is good and many use it without any issue.
and yes, .15 ltr is required for engine and it matters.
Beware, before using 5100 for first time, use engine flush and remove old oil completely from engine.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
So this happened to my bike today while I was about to take it to office. Looks like it broke off, don't think it was tampered.
A couple of weeks back i had turned the air-fuel screw to rich for a few kms to check the effects but reverted it back to its original position after it. Any chance that affecting the fuel pipe?

hi
There is no chance of your carb setting damaging your petrol pipe.
Some one tried to remove it and got broken

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Yes probably someone has cut it.
Anyways moving on, I am thinking of getting fog lights for mainly highway runs. Can anybody let me know some good ones? I was looking at some 27W LED ones. But my local mechanic says it might cause batter drainout even if i put on a seperate switch for it. I would need some fog light with a medium/long throw but do not want to blind traffic.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Done my second service 2 weeks ago at clocked 2172 kms 5 months after purchase I know it's early then scheduled date but I wanted to change engine oil and retune carb.
i still have gear shift problems , some times the shift doesn't feel smooth.mostly happens after riding 8 kms or more engine becomes little warm then again it becomes smooth ,like once in 5 or 6 times shift, only happens in downshift .gonna change to other oil after 1 year or warranty over.
anyways posting here because gonna put flat footrest today, contacted local accessories and modifier shop and he has floor footrest made for avenger . Pics will be added soon , cost is 1050 Rs.mostly it is same as golden cat member has. I have problem keeping my foot on Bajaj standard footrest due to big feetLast edited by wingrider007; 04-12-2017, 07:06 PM.
