Yes,it was too short a time to replace him and i meant maybe for the second race at Aragon.

What another unexpected race result ,Rins rode a perfect race but the star of the race was definitely Alex Marquez. The wet race podium seems to have given him the confidence to ride free .I for one did not expect this from him even though i have seen quite a few of his moto 2 races ,the transformation to a Marquez was remarkable including a potential highside towards the end.Disappointing race for Quarta with front tyre pressure problems but not too bad in terms of the championship with Mir in third leading in the points table.Vinales managed to stay in fourth and this could be anybody's championship with Dovi closing the gap inspite of finishing in seventh.Dissapointing day for the KTM's though.

As this season unfolds another twist with Taka and Honda taking their first pole with top contenders Mir in 12th, Quarta in 6th , Vinales in 4th and Dovi in a miserable 17th .It is going to be a mad dash to the first corner and i feel Rins may take the holeshot from the front row if he gets it right. Miserable qualifying for the Ducati's with only Zarco coming into Q2 .With the change in race timings the track temp may play it's part.

Masterclass ride by FM25. Suzuki's are consistent. Honestly, I was expecting some fight from MV12 and FQ20. MV12's rear tyre was throwing small chunks of rubber, which can been from rear under seat camera. They do have more grip issues than others facing. Both the Yamaha's, kept losing positions. Bad luck for TN30, AD04, AM73 and JM43. I think AD04 is out from championship contention as road ahead is tough for him with Suzuki's consistent double podium finishes.

Brilliant ride by Franco specially to keep the Suzuki's at bay and when you consider how Quarta struggled ,a late change in tyre choice may have helped him.A race where i expected the Honda's to finally come to the party you have the two most consistent finisher's of the season to end up in the gravel ,this season is a never ending story of surprises.KTM's have turned it around compared to last week while Zarco the top Ducati tells their story.

Lowes has finally found his consistency and is taking the fight to the Italians with Bastianini keeping a close check .The VR46 guys have been disappointing big time in the last couple of races, specially Luca seems to have lost his confidence since his highside in Le Mans.

Masia had another good day while Arenas is slowly inching ahead in the championship with Ogura and Vietti not upping their games.

What a day for Suzuki and Mir specially ,what a perfect time to win your first Moto GP race and also his first race win since winning his Moto 3 title 3 years ago.The championship is his to lose now but you never know the way this season is going .Good rides by Rins,Pol,Taka and Olivera also .Nightmares for the Yamaha's with Quarta's hopes crashing away.

Bad day for the championship leaders in both Moto 2 & 3 with Lowes and Arenas not finishing while Bastianini and Ogura clawing points back .Lots of crashes in all the 3 classes today.

Finally we have the champion and though circumstances and luck may have played a part Mir definitely deserves it since we saw a lot of potential winners throw it away or crack under pressure. As we saw in the last race specially overtaking his teammate Rins for the win he was calm and collected biding his time to make his moves ,finally fulfilling the potential he showed during his Moto 3 days.I think this season has helped a lot of youngsters to gain confidence that even with Marc back they have a chance to fight for the wins .

The other rider to show the same potential in this race was Franco ,i mean what a last lap between him and Miller and to manage the whole race with the under powered Yamaha and to out drag the Ducati to the line was cool,he definitely has a great future unless he touches the 2020 Yamaha.

Martin had a great race pipping Bezzechi to the end while the Beast continues his lead in the moto 2 championship.

What a ride by Arbolino in moto 3 ,he is definitely one to watch in the future if he gets a good mentor .

What a last race to the season ,the undulations of the Portimao circuit almost akin to the whole season in all the 3 classes.

The Moto 2 and 3 championship being alive till the chequered flag of the last race was unbelievable with 3 riders having a chance in both the classes .Consistency over the season finally gave Bastianini and Arenas their crowns but Marini ,Lowes and Bezzechi in moto 2 and Arbolino,Ogura and Raul in moto 3 gave it their all to make it a fitting finale. The championship winning margin in all 3 classes tells a story.Great race by both Remy and Raul to win their respective class races.Lowes riding with his injury and Arbolino coming from the back to finish 5th,the Leoprd team boys taking 2 long lap penalty and still finishing in the podium need a special mention.

The Moto gp race was an anticlimax after the 2 races before it ,Oliviera was brilliant on his home race while Miller pipped Franco to the line.I was hoping to see Mir carve his way to the front from the back of the pack but Suzuki had a rare bad day at the office to lose the team championship to Ducati.

Anyway with a lot of shuffling and new rookies expected can't wait for the new season to start .Hope Marc get's ready for the new brats in the pack while few of the old faces take a back seat.
