Yamaha India is all set to strengthen its rural market

As a 5 year plan, Yamaha is aiming to double its dealers so as to spread its two wheelers to rural India. According to Koji Arai, Director and Chief Sales Officer of Yamaha India, the company is likely to increase the showrooms count to 2000 especially in the small towns and rural hubs of the country.

Yamaha might have read somewhere in the history book that Agriculture is the back bone of India and 70% of population resides in rural areas of the country. Also, the No.1 two wheeler maker Hero Honda is focusing on expanding its dealership activities in non-urban areas.

once upon a time rural india(Agricultural area) was ruled by bullet kind of bikes.
still we can find few glimses of them.
now for yamaha's plans i can only say best of luck to them.
Rural india is not a place for super fancy bikes but a place to test durabilty and hardcore condition test of a bike.and most of the time its value for money kind of thing.
    hope yamaha makes it.
