Oh crap! I wanted to say half-faired. It'll look like a grown up Fazer. You'll be surprised to see how small the bike actually is! Great for the shorter riders.

ACI was given to test a FZ-1000 naked. They quoted the price at Rs. 9.5L(ex) and were pretty impressed with the Motorcycle across all parameters.

The FZ-1N looks great. Both bikes look like bigger siblings of the existing variants here (the fazer and the FZ) so i guess it wouldnt demand any unnecessary attention from the regular crowd. Throw in a bunch of biking enthusiasts and the bike will get mobbed from all sides.
I disagree. FZ1 won't be affected even slightly. A lot of factors will gain attention, like the large wheelbase (1460mm), big fat tyres, inline-4 growl, size of the engine, size of the fairing, etc.
Put them all together and damn, you have a jaw dropping sight!

No matter how many smaller siblings appear, a superbike/ supersports can't be ignored, because of the reasons I mentioned above...

Guys, the dry weight of this bike is 199 kgs, and wet is 220 kgs.

Its a good news, but a multicylinder 250/ 400 from Yamaha was more expected, for some years now...

Ahh finally a substitute for the bandit. How did i miss this thread.

Now have to see the next move from honda. IMO the yamaha should also bring its 250-600 cc range bikes also to india.

Mods - The thread of the title needs to be changed. Its not longer a CKD & hence the price is 9.6L instead of 8.6L

Good bike for the rider who wants a bit of everything without the fugliness and fit/finish of the bandit. I maintain that of ALL the CBU options, Yamaha seems to have the least annoying after sales support. I guess that makes it the best bet?
If they are getting the Fazer , why not get the naked also . The naked one shud cost a little less than the faired version too .

The news is from a reliable 'anonymous' source, but we take no responsibility!
Most probable launch at a most probable price from an "Anonymous" source! I love news items!

You say that even after what Rossiter has been through with the huge R1 warranty issues?

From where? Do they even exist?

Things can be created, like the R15 was created. And they got 3+ years after R15 to do it...
And I wonder, what happened to that R4 250cc that was rumored by Japanese Auto publications?

The R15 was created from an existing model right? A 150CC that existed. Do you know of ANY 250/400 Yamaha (or ANY manufacturer) that is currently doing the streets or showrooms ANYWHERE in the world?
