Every time someone posts on this thread, i open it with a hope to see some authentic news about the specs of this bike.
I just cant wait for it.
The KTM 125 is giving a lot of power but it has a compression ratio of 12.6:1
I don't think that kind of compression ratio will work out in India. So, very nervous about the kind of specs the Indian version of KTM 200 will offer.

In couple of days, I may be able to post highway testing photos of this bike but no spec list.

In the video, some screaming inline 4 is in background. Otherwise, it sounds the same.

The sound is more like a K&N fitted P180-220.

    Thumbs up

Man I'm waiting for this bike like crazy....

Spoke to a Probiking Dealer today...they told me that December is the month we should place our bets on (If not for the launch which is most likely in Jan at the Auto Expo, but at least for some solid news on the specs and pricing)...I'm counting dayz !!!

The Bajaj KTM Duke 200 introduced in Brazil has four color options, white, grey, black and the traditional orange.

Read this about the Specs somewhere:

The Bajaj KTM Duke 200 features 45mm upside own forks, 17-inch wheels, 110 section front tyres, 150 section rear tyres, Trellis frame, monoshock suspension and is expected to be available in two colours at launch, orange and green. The 200 cc engine is expected to produce power in the tune of 22-24 BHP with ample amount of torque. Weighing in at 140 kgs, the Duke 200 is expected to be a Monster to ride. And yes, the next generation Pulsars are also arriving with the Duke 200.

Although these are 125 Pics...I couldn't stop myself from sharing these with those of you who haven't yet seen what the 200 could look most similar to...enjoy !!!

    Dear Satadel
I admire u coz u have enlightened us through your blogs, pl dont take this negatively.

As u may have experienced or known Indian companies have no expertise or knowledge in developing these products coz we dont have History in producing these products and coming this from bajaj (when they launched pulsar back then the hot topic was from whom they lifted the tank if u remember). the products u mentioned above are being manufactured by Endurance (which is owned by Bajajs kin) so this guys just take all the stuff from outside(KTM engg) turn it into desi version (called as Value addition and value Engineering in their terms) so bluntly u can call it as a copy.
Also please note that all the cables, electricals, plastics are developed by Endurance/Minda so expect some issues (although i know KTM had laid down stringent test methods to validate their products) did u notice the rear rim has rim balance weight to balance Rim runout (till date have never seen that on any Foreign brand bikes), the only parts barring Engine,Swing arm,Suspension (although high rear suspension travel means more pressure on the rims and tyres) and gear box the rest of the parts seem squidgy.
If they are running this on Mules the productions bikes are gonna have lot of those issues which most of the guys on this forum are Unaware of and given the RIM cost and the riding conditions it will be tough for guys to keep up with that kind of power to offer by this bike and to keep them planted.

    regards
    Sid

I don't understand what it means. Could you elaborate it a bit more?
