  • MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine: Two legacies. One Motorcycle!

Ever since MV Agusta unveiled the beautiful Superveloce 800, we have seen quite a few special editions of the motorcycle. Since Christmas is upon us, there's another one on the horizon. MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine is the result of a collaboration between MV Agusta and Alpine, a French car manufacturing company known for their race cars and sports cars.

When we say the inspiration behind this special edition is Alpine, specifically, we meant the Alpine A110, the French manufacturer's latest car. And why is a special edition special? Because they are limited. So the MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine will be limited to 110 examples.

Timur Sardarov, CEO, MV Agusta Motor, said, "Many Alpine customers are also big MV Agusta fans, and vice-versa. The Superveloce Alpine will ideally bring the two worlds together, with incredible synergies in terms of design, personality, and style. We look forward to this collaboration with one of the most admired brands in the history of motorsport, and are confident that this new, superb limited edition will be met with enthusiasm by bikers and motorsport fans around the world."

Patrick Marinoff, Managing Director, Alpine, said, "MV Agusta is a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and excellence that makes motorcycles like no other. Our two brands are driven by the same passion for creating beautifully engineered products and unique emotions for our customers. The Superveloce Alpine is a fine piece of design and technology that makes no compromise on performance and riding pleasure."

The design of the MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine was conceived in MV Agusta's Monica Studio. The designers from Alpine worked with the designers of MV Agusta to execute the design of the special edition. Representing the collaboration between the two brands, the MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine sports a Blue Alpine-Ago Silver livery. The fairing also gets raised 'A' logos. Another subtle hint is the blue stitching on the black Alcantara seat.

There's Alpine mention on the windscreen too and the supports of the front fender dons French and Italian flags. Predictably, there's a lot of carbon fiber used on the MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine. Lower fairings, air duct covers, rear fender, and chain guards are all carbon fiber.

There’s a brushed aluminium decal on the steering head with a number somewhere between 001 and 110, as this is a numbered special edition. A limited-edition certificate of origin is included.

Mechanically, mostly everything remains the same. The MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine continues to be powered by a 798cc inline-3 cylinder engine. The torque output remains the same at 88 Nm but arrives 500 rpm sooner. 149 Ps of peak power marks a reduction of 1 Ps but arrives at the same 13,000 rpm.

There's a track day kit available as well and it consists of Arrow Racing 3 exhaust system with a special ECU, a pillion seat cover, a CNC fuel cap with a leather strap and Alpine logo, and a Superveloce Alpine cover for the motorcycle. With the racing kit, the power is bumped up to 155 Ps.

The deliveries will start sometime in 2021 and the price tag on the MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine says EUR 36,300. Cool?
