TVS Scooter Spotted: xBhp News

[MR ACE]

Spotted this new tvs scooter in Chennai.

1: Fully camouflaged with little bit of body paint visible here & there.


2: Two people riding with helmet on.


3: With the outer shell ala suzuki access style.


4: This scooter comes with telescopic/ rear hydraulic spring.


5: As per pic this one doesn't come with disc brake on front & the tire size might be 10 inches & comes with alloy wheels.


6: The fuel lid is positioned above the tail lamp. That would be a problematic design.


7: The instrument cluster is like normal 100-125cc scooters available now in market.


8: The key lock set comes with shutter type.


9: Temp regn is from hosur(tvs main plant)


10: The main point is the engine. My guess this one is coming with 125 or 150 cc. He was pushing the vehicle above 60kmph in city road when my father & my self tried to take pics on pursuit with a 3 year old suzuki access on same speed.

Nice spotting Mr.Ace...
The design looks very bland. The taillamps look Activa-ish (Or the Access, too!). And the fuel lid....less said about the 'hole, better!

another normal commuter scooter, though the placement of fuel lid is good, no need to open the seat like my pleasure.

After the brilliant styling of Yamaha Ray,these ordinary designs aint going to work ever. 'Ray' Just toppled TVS Scooty sales with its appealing design. TVS always learns the hard way(Or should I say, never learns).

After the brilliant styling of Yamaha Ray,these ordinary designs aint going to work ever. 'Ray' Just toppled TVS Scooty sales with its appealing design. TVS always learns the hard way(Or should I say, never learns).

Ray was "inspired" by the new Dio, I suppose!

@Satyamzma With all those pipes, it should be a fuel can for sure. Probably they were out mileage-testing.

TN70 = Hosur; No plant for Mahindra, Honda, Hero for now at Hosur, but for TVS barring the upcoming plant for Yamaha, but that's Chennai

This is definitely TVS scooter. Look at the first guys helmet in the 3rd picture. you can clearly see TVS logo. This might be scooty 125. The fuel lid is placed outside for easy access for women without lifting the seat.

Looking the sales chart of Honda, everybody would want to strengthen their position in the scooters (except Bajaj).

I saw the tvs logo on the rear wheel case. But those guys were fast enough to take a pic.

good 'catch' mr.ace.. everybody wants to get on the scooter bandwagon which is the fastest growing segment now (thank the increase in traffic) so people want a hassle free vehicle to move around without the clutch and gear shifting. Maybe in a few yrs the step thru's (if you remember the Herohonda Street) will make their way back in to the indian market like in vietnam etc.. were these kind on scoots make up a huge part of the traffic 'ecosystem'
