Well this is both hilarious and sad. Don't know what else to say.

Strange piece of news.

Back to topic, I guess the cops were drunk. What else can explain this situation?

PS - I'm thinking of starting a thread that provided innovative ideas to Indian Police to slap fines on innocent people Should be very hilarious

Edit - On a second thought...the newspaper is TOI; so the mistake can be even with TOI

I also saw this news when a person beside me, was reading news paper in metro, very hilarious, don't know what to say....

The reason was simple...the occupants refused to pay bribe of 200/- and hence were booked with not wearing helmet ....The incidence happened in January this year and only now the defendant's case had been taken up and court had ordered action against the Policemen involved...

I think its high time our Cops learn a bit of manner, and also learn how to behave with the public, if this goes on, the time is not too far off when people with start beating the cops up

these cops just want bribe, nothing else.

Boss...I read this news and had a difference of opinion

I would say this is just a twist done by the person who was caught

Am sure none of the cops are that dumb..... am sure he would have given a challan without the vehicle number by mistake, the person who was caught was a lawyer

Again, not to side with cops...

I think another possibility could be is that Amit, as lawyer, could've used the word "DRIVING" to his favor when the cops misinterpreted riding to driving a motorcycle.
