The Discover 100 Tourer as it’s been named, is aimed at opening up a whole new segment in the commuter class. The Discover 100T produces a claimed 10.2 Ps of power (30% more than its class competitors). This coupled with a claimed 87 kmpl is thanks to the 4-valve Dtsi technology.

Mr K Srinivas, President (Motorcycle Business),

“For too long, the average commuter had to be satisfied with boring and undifferentiated 100cc bikes. While 100cc bikes do offer good mileage, their style, features and performance leave a lot to be desired. The steady growth of the more expensive 100cc bikes at the cost of the cheaper models is a clear evidence of this.”
“The all new Discover 100T delivers the power of a 125cc with the economy of a 100cc to bring in the joy of riding to this segment. We call it the ‘The Ultimate 100’ as it brings unprecedented levels of power, style and features to this important segment of the market.”
    Features of the Discover 100T

    Engine & Drive
    • World’s first 100cc with 4-valve DTS-i engine.
    • 10.2 Ps power for unprecedented riding pleasure (30% more power than other 100cc motorcycles)
    • Top Speed of 100 kph.
    • 5-speed gear box for smooth riding and superior fuel efficiency
    • Auto Choke for easy start in all weather conditions

    Comfort & Safety
    • Gas-filled Nitrox suspension for a cushioned ride over the toughest of roads
    • Semi Double cradle chassis for safety and comfort
    • DC headlamp for safe, flicker-free lighting, even at low speeds
    • Electric start as standard

    Stunning Style
    • Chiseled, muscular tank
    • Aggressive, sharp edged headlamp
    • 10-spoke new design alloy wheels
    • Premium aluminum side sets
    • Contrasting two tone graphics

The Discover 100T will be priced at Rs 50,500/- (ex-showroom Delhi). It will be available in four colours – Flame Red, Brilliant Blue, Black Red and Black Blue.

With two Indian Manufacturers launching 100cc bikes with a difference in a span of two days, is there going to be a visible shift in the mindset of the commuter? Or are these manufacturers shooting in the dark?

    Not bad. I guessed right

So the new bike Bajaj Discover 100T is priced identically to the existing Bajaj Discover 125, just like how the Discover 150 and Discover 125ST are close in pricing (though the 125ST is higher due to more expensive monoshock).

I predict the next bike in the series to be the Discover 150ST which would be priced identically (or little bit higher since it comes with monoshock) to the Pulsar 135LS, and slowly Discover 125, Discover 150 and Pulsar 135LS would be phased out as the KTM engine block based Pulsars replace Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180.

A disk brake upfront would have been a real 'innovation'.

Is this really the most expensive+technologically advanced 100cc promised by Bajaj? If yes,I am disappointed!

Its good but Bajaj and moreover these so called auto-sites should not make so much hype about it.
