thats right the engine reliability test and the endurance test is very different as the latter is without any stress to the engine so in real time test p180 engine cannot do a 300hrs full throttle endurance test on the track.

300 hrs of endurance test that includes full throttle speed is awesome.i think most of the indian bikes cant handle this stress.

Good news, and bad news. I support the notion of upgrading elim to a higher capacity than making it cheaper.

    Hey,

the_invincible : 300 hrs of endurance means that 300 hrs of testing at full throttle on the track which is impossible for any bike in the world, the 300 hrs full throttle test mentioned on the news piece is in the factory without the tyres even touching the ground.

    ***********
Regarding the development of the Pulsar engine :
The number of mistakes we have made in the Pulsar engine before we got it right is really the learning. One of the endurance tests we have is to take the engine full throttle. Now, full throttle on a bike is rare on the road. Our target was: full throttle for 100 hours continuously. The first time, it failed within 10 minutes. Today, the Pulsar engine goes 300 hours full throttle.

300 hrs full throttle on the test bench ,very good and impressive.
Taking it on road should give at least 50 hrs or even 24 hrs..
Any way nobody uses that ,but who does not like to have an engine like that under the chassis..
In coming years Bajaj brand would grow big and very reliable ...waiting
    SPEED .....i need more
I cannot do burnouts :(..my bike has traction control...

    Hey,

yes 300 hrs in itself is a great achievement. I too believe that Bajaj will soon be the best Bike manu in India.

PS : Off Topic : Planning to buy Bajaj stocks and hold on to them for atleast a year. LOL .

Well You can go stockwise but I still have doubts with Bajaj I know they have pulled up thier socks but not yet to challenge Major Player.
Anyways Reliablility is the name of the game.
The maximum I have is 12:30 Hrs with 20 minutes stop on mybike in a day. And without a twitch of a problem.
It surely feels gr8 to ride reliable bike.
Hope you have same experience soon.
